Description

Last season, Easton's Power Brigade Series dominated the softball diamond. This season, the all new Power Brigade Series picks up right where the original Series left off so the concept of the Power Brigade remains the same: allow players to personalize their power. The fact is, that players draw power from different sources. Stronger players may want a bit more weight and endload to their bat, while smaller players want a little less weight and a balanced feel. Easton solves this problem by offering Power Brigade bats in two categories: The Speed Series and The XL Series. Speed Series bats (FS1, FS2, and FS3) are characterized by lighter length to weight ratios and balanced swing weights to produce faster swing speeds and more power as a result. XL Series bats (FX1 and FX2) are going to be a little heavier and have a endloaded feel, giving stronger players extra momentum through the zone and more power behind each swing. This bat, the FS2, is a one-piece fully composite design that features a barrel made from Easton's IMX Composite that seamlessly transitions into an ultra-thin handle made from their SIC Black Carbon Composite. If you're looking for extra swing speed this season, there's only one logical choice - the bat that's built for SPEED to give YOU more POWER! Easton: Personalize Your Power! The FS2 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by Easton's exclusive 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Not the best bat Easton has made Haley player

Pros: I can't really say that there are many pros. The bat has a little bit of pop but not much. I'm a 14 year old softball player that has been playing sense 1st grade and I've used a lot of bats and my 2013 Easton synergy hit better than the 2014 FS2.

Cons: Not much pop

Pros: have had this bat for month and a half my 12yr old daughter has hit 4 infield home runs 2 triples 6 doubles. My daughter also has the highest batting average, and highest power rating. so far love our fs 2 bats.

Cons: she says when she don't hit ball on sweet spot there is some sting in the bat.

Easton FS2 Great Bat for 10U, 12U and 14U Mark parent

Pros: Took a while for my daughter to develop her swing. When she did-we started to get the full potential from this bat! When she misses it, it still travels pretty good to the out field. When she gets ahold of it-it's to the fence. When she hits off the end of the bat-she still gets a good hard grounder/line drive. The pop it great. The sweet spot is big. It took about 200 solid hits to break it in...

Cons: The "kids" (parents) outgrow them. After 2 years of town ball and travel league ball, we're on to a new Easton. This time it's an FX1 -9 drop end load for a bit more power.

My daughter is 14, 161 pounds and 5'8 1/2". She is a power hitter that usually hits a lot of line drives. Would this bat be a good bat for her to use this up coming year and what weight would be the best fit for her? softball mom
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 34" 24 oz 2014 Easton FS2: FP14S2 Fastpitch. The FS2 has a one-piece design that is ideal for power hitters.
Jason
What does the FS, FX, stand for in the Easton fastpitch softball bats and what is the difference? Cope
The Easton FS Series is more balanced for contact hitters, whereas the Easton FX Series is more end loaded for power hitters.
Damon
My 10 year old daughter is 4'9" 96 lbs. She currently swings a LS M2 (31" -12). I was looking to get her the FS2. Is 31" still the best length for her and do you think she will be able to swing the -10? Kevin
Based on her height and weight, we still recommend a 31" model in the 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2) Fastpitch. Not only is the 31" still the ideal size for her, but only moving up 2 oz will help with an easy transition.
Jason
My daughter is 16 years old and is 4' 10" weights 105 lbs what size and what bat would be good for her? Sonia
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2).
Tessa L.
My daughter is 13 and plays for a 14u select softball team. She is 5'2 and weighs about 110 lbs. What is the best bat for her? Ronnie
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2). For more information regarding sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

My 12 year old daughter has the Synergy Speed in a 31" drop 10 and loves it. She is now about 5' 2" and weighs about 124 lbs. She is a power hitter. Was the Synergy Speed end loaded or balanced? Or would the FX model be better for her? Toady
The 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2) replaced the Easton Synergy Speed. Both bats are very balanced. If she is a power hitter, the 2014 Easton FX2 (FP14X2) is a better option. The end loaded design is ideal for a power hitter.
Kara
Is this bat ASA and NSA approved? mike
The 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2) is approved by ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF.
Kara
I have a daughter that is in 10u and is 90 lbs. solid and about 5 feet tall. What is a good length and weight for her? The one she has now is 30" 18.5 oz. mamag
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2). Sizing is preferential, so if she was using a 30" 18.5 oz., there is a chance that she can make the jump to a 31" 21 oz. FS2 comfortably. It will mostly depend on her strength, bat speed, and hitting technique.
Tessa
I have a 12 year old daughter who is 4 foot 9 and 76 pounds. What size bat do you recommend? softball dad
Based on results from our Bat Coach (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we recommend a 30" 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2) for a player with your height and weight.
Sean
Why are the Easton FS2 reviews lower and not as good at the Easton FS1 reviews? Mike Sean
The reviews are done by our customers and each individual person is rating their experience. It is not always an indication that one bat is better than the other but rather the people that got on and made the review may have viewed one more favorably than the other. Both the 2014 Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S2) and the 2014 Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) are good high performance models.
Patrick

John
Is this bat legal to use in high school? Dulce

Marcus
Is there a temperature restriction for this bat? Candy
We do not recommend using the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP14S2, or any other bat, excessively in temperatures 55 degrees and below. What happens is the ball itself becomes more dense in those cooler temperatures, thus leading to potentially damaging your bat.
Marcus
