Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the L-Series, the L1.0 has a specific end-load weight called out at the end of its 12 inch barrel: 26oz = 1oz load, 27oz = 2oz load, 28oz = 3oz load, 30oz = 4oz load. The L1.0 features Easton's patented two-piece ConneXion technology that holds together this fully composite design. The barrel is constructed from Easton's trademark IMX Composite for an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance. The SIC Black Carbon handle makes for the BEST feeling composite bat you'll EVER swing. This handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The L1.0 is approved for play in USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Love it James G. player

Pros: I have swung Z's, Worth, and Miken and to be honest this is the best bad Ive had the opportunity to swing. This bat even looks nasty (Like I will take the pitchers head off). The ball jumps off the bat and after my first 10 swing = 6 home runs. I can't wait to see the numbers I put up this year. I am very pleased with the purchase of my first Easton!!!

Cons: I do not want to let my team swing it!!! :)

Love this bat! Rob player

Pros: This bat is hot right out of the wrapper. I didn't just take it out and beat it up though. I worked it a good 150 swings on the tee into a batting net while rotating the bat every swing. I wanted to get the most even break in of the bat without getting it rolled and messing with the warranty. The very first day I took it to batting practice I smashed an easy 6 homers off of ten pitches then swapped over to a buddies rolled and shaved L6 and hit another 4 homers with his. Every hit that comes off this L1 is coming off the bat HOT. I'm a little concerned with my local leagues changing up their bat regulations this season and banning these sweet composites all together. I'm haven't really decided how I feel about the grip on this bat yet, it kinda tore my hands up after those 150 break in swings, but I think it will be fine if I just use my JustBats batting gloves. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and will be looking into Easton for all my future bats.

Cons: Grip is super thin with little to no cushioning, but not a problem with batting gloves. Also, could be a problem keeping all my teammates from wanting to use it.

One of the best bats I've ever had! Paul player

Pros: ...third game using this filthy bat, three at bats, three over the 20 foot tall 280 fence. Every player on the team is clammering to use this bat. Buy it, you wont be sorry.

Cons: None.

This is a very good bat. Bob M player

Pros: I played baseball until I was 20. Played in a softball league for one year at 26 then really did not play anything. Now I am 49 and a bunch of 25-35 year old lawyers asked me to play on their bar association team. I realized I could bring one thing to the team- power since they play at a field with a left field fence of about 300, center about 290 and right field really no man's land (390 down the line?) These guys were terrible last year but this year they have some good players including a legit ss and two stud outfielders. Apparently, despite being lawyers they had cheap bats. I explained to them this needed fixed and they bought a Dudley which is technically not legal, I hit one monster out with it but it is balanced and feels light. So i started looking for another end loaded bat. A kid who plays a lot and is a bat junkie had like 10 to sell. He offered this and the Izzy Psycho. I figured the Izzy would be the bat. I was wrong. This Easton L1 is it. The ball flies off bat fast.

Cons: The grip sucks. Needs replaced. Some may view as a con what I view as a pro. this has the feel of a one piece bat and you feel it in your hands but I love that.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton L1.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14L1? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

When will this bat be available to purchase? I'm hearing February 7th? Is that true? Brett Helmer Jr
Yes, 2/7/2014 is the release date of the 2014 Easton L1.0: SP14L1 Slow Pitch bat.
Brandon
What is the difference between this new bat and last years model? Is this just a new paint job? Rob
The 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) Slow Pitch is the same as the SP13L1 except for the updated graphics and paint job.
Jason
What is the difference between the L1.0 and the L4.0? shrek
The 2014 Easton L4.0 Brett Helmer Pro Model (SP13L4) has been discontinued but it was considered a one-piece single system composite design whereas the 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) would be considered a true two-piece design. The L1.0 features Easton's ConneXion Technology for added sting and vibration reduction. Other than that they are very similar.
Patrick
Why is the Easton L1.0: SP14L1 not ASA approved? tk71
Sometimes bat manufacturers create specific bats for certain certifications. In this case the 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1 Slow Pitch) is USSSA approved and not ASA approved. This Easton model will provide the same design and swing feel. It will also be ASA approved: 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3 Slow Pitch).
Brandon
Was this bat designed for use with .44-400 balls? Hundreadproof
The 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) is designed to be used with the .44 core balls.
Kara
Is this bat stiff, or does it have flex? edward
The 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) Slow Pitch bat is a two-piece fully composite model, so it offers more flex than a one-piece design. But the SIC Black Carbon Composite in the handle provides a stiffer flex than some other two-piece models.
Mac
I'm looking to buy two top quality bats for my mixed slow pitch team. The girls are contact hitters while the boys want power. What two Easton bats should I go with? The L1.0 and the B1.0? Young Buck
For their USSSA certified models, the L1.0 and B1.0 would be Easton's highest quality options. Ultimately, it depends on the player's preference to one-piece or two-piece design. But the L1.0 would be a great option for a power hitter, while the balanced swing weight of the B1.0 would be a perfect fit for a player who hits for contact.
Mac
Can you use this bat with the .52 balls? AJ
The 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) is USSSA certified which means that it is meant to hit either Classic M or Classic M Plus balls. The Classic M Plus balls have a .52 core and a 275 compression.
Patrick
The league I play in allows ASA and ISF bats, which means that both the Easton L1 and L3 would be legal. Which of these two bats would hit the .52 core balls better? chdbrgn
Both of these models are going to be very high performing and are excellent options. However, if you are choosing between both of these, I would probably recommend the 2014 Easton L1.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: (SP14L1).
Merritt
Seeing that the 28 ounce model has a 3 ounce endload, does that mean it's actual weight is 31 ounces? cmcd
No. The 28 ounce model of the 2014 Easton L1.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L1) will weigh 28 ounces but will have a feel of 3 ounces weighted more towards the barrel. So it is 3 ounces off from being a balanced bat.
Patrick
I'm looking to buy a easton but, which bat gives more distance, the L1.0 or the L6.0? CHRO
The 2014 Easton L1.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L1) and the 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) will have similar performance and similar distance if hit the same way. They are all rated to the same level for safety reasons. The differences are more based on feel or what leagues the bats are legal for.
Patrick
Can you use the Brett Helmer Easton L1.0 bat for fast pitch softball? Royce
This Easton L1.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L1) will not have the correct ASA 2004 stamp on it for fastpitch softball use. Therefore, it will not be allowed in a fastpitch softball game.
