Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the L-Series, the L6.0 has a specific end-load weight called out at the end of its 12 inch barrel: 26oz = 1oz load, 27oz = 2oz load, 28oz = 3oz load, 30oz = 4oz load. The barrel is constructed from Easton's trademark IMX Composite for an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance, while SIC Black Carbon is added to the handle to make this the BEST feeling composite bat you'll EVER swing. This handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The L6.0 is approved for ASA and ISF play only. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Great ASA Bat Bill B. player

Pros: The 27oz. version of this bat feels amazing. Great pop right out of the wrapper, just like the previous year's L6.0. Great looking bat as well!

Cons: Only con may still be the ultra thin grip.

good buy TJ player

Pros: Just bought this bat, i purchased the 27 oz with 2 oz end load. so far I m very satisfied with what I got for my money. Takes about 30 swings to break it in but once it is broken in I have been hitting bombs with it. I'm not a home run hitter but I'm hitting it upwards of 300 feet

Cons: not a huge fan of the grip because the sweet spot isn't huge, hurts your hands if its not right on the sweet spot but its getting better the more the bat gets broke in

Pros: 28 oz end loaded swings like a 27 oz bat it swings ballanced and the smaller Handel helps with my wrist snap to drive the ball far its my next game bat.

Reminds me of my "Trusty" Salvo Jonathan Valdez player

Pros: The L6.0 feels great honestly. It did take about 200 swings before it felt like it was really breaking in but now the ball is flying off my bat. It reminds me of my last 2 Salvos. The Graphics are great and it was quick to get used to. The salvo has a little lighter end load so that was really the only difference I had to adjust to. Overall I love this bat and if you swing Easton ASA bats then this is the bat for you.

Cons: I think the only con is the skinny grip since I was use to my salvo. All I did was add a tennis grip over the skinny grip and put a knob at the end and it feels great!

Cons: handle is a little thin for me easily fixable with some tape, but the more I use it the more I like it!

Awesome Bat Nick player

Pros: I like the pop on it, it helped me increase my distance by 50 feet from my $30 Walmart aluminum bat (I know the L6 is a composite bat), I'm now hitting the ball about 260 feet by just tossing up the ball and hitting it. with my old aluminum bat it was going about 200 feet.

Cons: I'm not a batting gloves person and the grip hurts my hands, I'm pretty sure that will solve the problem but I'm not a batting gloves person

Pros: after doing some research i decided to go ahead and give this bat a try. i am more than satified with my purchase. one of the best bats i have hit with. i love the end loaded design. has amazing pop and since it is my favorite color you definatley cannot beat the graphics. when i showed up my team made jokes cause i brought a new bat to the game but after using it they won't leave my bat alone.:) very good bat

Cons: the gauze style grip tape is painful for me. i switched it out for a different grip tape and it is great.:)

28 oz Sam player

Pros: Can hit bombs with the right pitch. Looks cool

Cons: Nearly impossible to pull the ball into left. Hard to adjust when the pitch isn't perfect. Grip is bad. If I could buy again, I would get the 26 or 27 oz.

Great looking bat, handle needs improvement Tyler player

Pros: There is a great sweet spot in this End Loaded version, we had some guys on the team that kept hitting too late trying to get it but overall great pop.

Pros: Just got it today, 34", 28oz with a 3oz end load. Have 25 swings on it at the cages. First swing the ball exploded of the bat, felt great. Can't wait to use it in the game tomorrow.

Cons: Small handle for someone with large hands. Need to use gloves.

L 6.0 --- Best Bat In My Bag Art R. player

Pros: Looks and feels great. Excellent pop right out of the wrapper. I bought the 28 oz with a 3 oz end load. Only have about 40 swings at the batting cages and the balls are lighter than game balls. My first hit the ball EXPLODED OF IT. Can't wait to use tomorrow night at my next game.

Cons: Handle is a little thin and the wrap is rough on the hands. Would suggest using gloves or re-wrap the handle.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton L6.0 ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14L6? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How will this bat hold up to .44 COR balls? Karl
The 2014 Easton L6.0 (SP14L6) Slow Pitch is designed to hit the .52 COR balls and will not hold up very well with the .44 COR balls. The L6.0 is very susceptible to cracking when used with the .44 COR balls.
Jason
I have the 2013 model and it seems to be good with the .44 core ball that my league uses. Do you not recommend buying this new model? Sk
Both the 2014 Easton L6.0 (SP14L6) and the 2013 Easton L6.0 (SP13L6) are intended to hit the new .52 core balls that are used for most sanctioned ASA play. The fact that your 2013 hasn't seen durability issues yet does not necessarily mean that you will not have issues later. The harder .44 core balls react with the bat differently and can cause internal damage at first that can lead to visible damage later. .44 core balls are best with older stamped ASA bats.
Patrick
I play mostly .52 core 12" ball but also on a fun league that uses a 14" ball. Would this bat be safe to use for that as well? Jeff
The 2014 Easton L6.0: SP14L6 Slow Pitch can be used with the .52 core or the 14" balls.
Kara
Is this a single wall bat? Garrett
The 2014 Easton L6.0 (SP14L6) is a composite bat. Therefore, it will have layers of composite but it is not a single or double wall technically.
Bobby
What is the difference between the SP14L6 L6.0 and the SP14LX LX.0? stu
The difference between the 2014 Easton L6.0 (SP14L6) and the 2014 Easton LX.0 (SP14LX) would be the material they are made out of. Both feature the IMX composite but the L6.0 has a different composite in the handle that allows for better feel.
Patrick
I just bought this bat from you guys. Is it safe to take it to the batting cages? nick b
We do not recommend taking the 2014 Easton L6.0 (SP14L6 Slow Pitch) in batting cages with the yellow dimpled balls. We have found that those balls are not good for baseball and softball bats and does increase the chance of the bat to break if hit with in the batting cages.
Cooper
Which Easton slow pitch bat is better LX.0 or L6.0? I mainly play ASA, would it be a advantage swinging a dual stamp? We're currently using the .52 COR 300 ball. Gil
The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) and the 2014 Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX) are very similar to each other since they feature a one-piece end loaded design. There will be little to no advantage to swinging a dual stamped bat in your ASA league. ASA and USSSA bats have different standards to meet for their certifications. A bat that is dual stamped has to meet both those certifications, so there is a chance that there may be a drop off in performance because it has to meet the requirements of both leagues. A bat that has only the ASA stamp, only has to meet the requirements set by ASA and vice versa for USSSA stamped bats. Since both the L6.0 and the LX.0 feature the new ASA stamp, using the .52 COR 300 balls will be ok for use.
Tessa
Is this bat ASA approved? charlie
Yes, the 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is approved for ASA and ISF play.
John
I bought the 2013 L6.0 a year ago, and I'm starting to see a small crack. I play in ASA leagues and use .44 COR balls. I'm just wondering why it's showing signs of that so fast. Would the 2014 model hold up a little bit better? Logan
Both the 2013 and 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) feature the new ASA performance certification mark and are designed to hit the lower compression, higher COR softball. You're likely seeing durability issues because you're hitting the .44 COR softball. All ASA leagues should have switched over to the .52 COR, 300 Compression balls these bats are made for. If your league is still using the higher compression softballs, there really isn't a bat that was produced past 2012 that I would say could stand up better, unfortunately.
Mac
How does this compare to the original Easton Salvo (SRV5) from 2010ish? Graves
The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is very comparable to the SRV5 Salvo. They are both one-piece bats with IMX composite. The big difference is the end load featured on the two bats. The Easton Salvo has a slight end load, while the L6.0 features an additional 1 ounce of end load for every ounce increase in weight. For example: 26 oz bat has a 1 ounce end load, and at 27 oz bat has a 2 oz end load.
Jason
Is this bat similar to the discontinued 2010 Easton CV12? Nick
No. The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is a single piece composite design whereas the Easton CV12 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SCG1) had a composite inner core and an alloy outer shell. The L6.0 will also be a bit more end-loaded.
Patrick
What is the difference between the L6.0 and the L4.0? Nick
The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) and the L4.0 are fairly similar models. The L6.0 is a one-piece fully composite bat made out of IMX Composite. The L4.0 is the Brett Helmer pro model and it has an IMX Composite barrel and a SIC Black Carbon Composite handle. The SIC handle helps improve the feel of the bat and eliminates vibration and sting.
Jason
Which bat has more pop and distance, the L6, L4, or the L3? Which one would be a better buy? hollywood
All three would have very similar pop and distance. The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) will feature a one-piece single system composite design. This will be a preferred feel by the power hitter types.
Brandon
What is the BPF on this bat and does the bat have a stamp showing the BPF? Angel
The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is an ASA only bat, so it does not have a BPF rating. USSSA bats have a BPF rating of 1.20.
Damon
Are the ASA BATS hotter than USSSA BATS? Hollywood
Yes, the ASA bats are hotter than the USSSA bats. The 2014 Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) will be a hot bat.
Frankie
Would this bat be approved for use in NSA leagues? I'm not sure if there is a difference with NSA and ASA softball leagues/regulations Jack
The Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is not approved for NSA leagues because it does not have that NSA stamp.
Allison
Is this bat okay with .44 core 375 compression ball ? Rod
The Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) can hit the .44 core balls but would see durability problems. Bats with the 2004 or earlier stamp would be best in terms of durability with the old .44 core balls. The newer bats are made to be used with the .52 core balls.
Patrick
Is this a single wall bat? linfieldkp
The Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) will feature a one piece full composite design which will not be allowed in a single-wall league. I would recommend a model such as the 2015 DeMarini Ultimate Weapon Slow Pitch Softball Bat: WTDXUWE-15.
Joe
Will a 27 ounce feel heavy like a 29 ounce bat because of the 2 ounce end-load? roro
A 27 ounce weight of the Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) will feel heavier than a balanced 27 ounce but not necessarily a full 2 ounces heavier.
Patrick
Why is it not recommended to be used in batting cages with the yellow dimpled balls? What damage is done to the bat? Jerry
Yellow cage balls are denser than the balls that bats like the Easton L6.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) are intended to hit. Therefor, the way that they compress and react with the barrel will be different. This can cause damage to the barrel that a regulation ball will not.
Patrick
Does this bat have an alloy barrel? Also, does it have the old 2004 ASA approved stamp? Brandon
The Easton L6.0 ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L6) is going to be a one piece composite design and will not have any alloy in the bat. And the Easton L6.0 is going to have the newest ASA approved stamp.
