Pros: Bought this bat for my son we have used it in the cage only so far, but the swing weight is very light and it seems to have great pop out of the wrapper. The grip is very nice and he has not said anything about vibrations or stinging hands.
Cons: Graphics and paint are a little plain but that does not affect the quality of the product.
Pros: Got this bat for my 16yr old son and he loves it! He really likes the big barrel which is bigger than his XL3 and the overall feel of the bat. has really good pop and even has a little bit of that old aluminum bat ping but not as loud and annoying as the pre BBCOR bats. Due to the increase barrel size, the bat is end loaded but if you can get the barrel around on time then you should be okay formthis bat. For the price you cant beat the performance of the bat so he's happy with it so am I because I didn't have to spend an excessive amount of money for a bat that's supposed to have the same standards(BBCOR) and perfrom the same way.
Cons: nothing so far.
Pros: Very balanced, swings light, with a larger barrel than last year's S3 model. My son, who is a contact hitter, really likes it. It's a very "simple" design - 1 piece alloy that performs well. You don't need a 2-piece, composite, etc. bat that costs $500. I'd recommend you give this bat a good look before buying a Mako or other more complex design.
Cons: None seen yet.
Pros: The pop on this bat is tremendous. This bat from what ive witnessed have more pop than the mako and velo. The barrel size on this bat is much longer than it was years before. It is comparable to the XL series. It is veey balanced. It isnt too top heavy or handle heavy but just top heavy enough to feel the bat through the zone (could be pro or con depending on hitter. I am a hitter who hits .450 and 25 hr. I play at the triple crown/usssa/grand slam high major level) I personally hate the mako because toy cant feel the bat through the zone. Lastly it has that nice satisfying aluminum ping. When you hit that ball on the sweet spot, you know for sure its gone. And on all bats Eastons 1 year warranty
Cons: This bat since its is aluminium has more pop that composite bat bats but that pop comes at the price of denting after 1 tournament- 8 months. Bu there is a 1 year warranty. The only other con is that if you take a ball of the hamdle or the end cap it has much more vibration and feedback (in stinging hands) than composites
Pros: Switched from last years velo found that this has more pop and is just as balanced.
Cons: none
Pros: Easy to swing. Extended barrel allows me to make solid contact on pitches that I'm a little late on. Excellent pop for an all alloy bat. Don't want to spend $300-$400+, get this bat. Several of my teammates are using my bat now and they love it..
Cons: Not a truly balanced bat in my opinion. Slightly end loaded, probably because of the extended barrel. (Not like an XL3 or other end loaded bats). Just wanted to share that with you guys.
Pros: When I took my first swing I felt that the ball was leaping off the bat and excellent
Cons: None at all
Pros: Balanced and has great pop. Better bat than the $400 bats.
Cons: Haven't found any.
Pros: Purchased this bat for my 9th grade high school ball player. He is a contact hitter at 5'6" and 110-115 pounds. We compared the S3Z (one piece matrix alloy) to the S1 (two piece composite) and found his bat speed and comfort/confidence level to be better with the S3Z. The S3Z feels better balanced and less end loaded when compared to the S1. The bat has plenty of pop to it and my son appears to have no issues getting the bat through the zone. Additionally, he just happens to prefer a one (1) piece and likes the handle/grip. Overall, good purchase. In comparing S3Z to S1 there are differences, despite the fact that both bats are designed for the "contact" hitter. I think the alloy is the way to go, especially if your son needs a little more pop than the composite can provide. The Torq, Mako and S1 may be the "cool" bats to own, but this is the best bat for my son. I would have paid the $400+ for the other bats if I thought they were better, but they weren't.
Cons: None other than after seeing my son hit with it in the cage, I am left to wonder why Easton doesn't advertise this bat more. That is probably a function of folks willingness to line up and pay $400 or more for the Torq, Mako or S1.
Pros: very balanced
Cons: i had one batting practice and played in one game with it and when i swung in our next game i noticed the pop was completely gone.
Pros: i used this bat only in the cage so far but it has great pop out of the wrapper. iam a contact-power hitter and the ball just bounces off this bat. pretty good through the zone. 33' inch model is good for a 6'0 175lbs sophomore
Cons: the graphics are a little plain and the grip isnt the best but overall a great bat
Pros: This bat is very balanced bat and has that loud ping when the bat comes off the barrel the extended sweet spot on this bat gives a better advantage to the hitter on the inside and outside pitchers. The paint job on this bat is very tough and cool looking
Cons: the tapered grip at the bottom is slippery
Pros: Bat is well balanced and seems to have good pop.
Cons: However, bat paint has several chips and dented after 3 games. Son has used the bat against pitchers throwing between 88 and 92 at the varsity level. I am hoping it was just a lemon and I know warranty covers it but I am surprised that it had taken such a beating so quickly. I thought that the Z-core was a better quality aluminum than what the speed was made of years past. The team Marucci that he has used over the past year seems to be more durable. We shall see what the replacement Zcore is like. I will comment on it when he gets the warranted bat from Easton and after several games.
Pros: Very good feel and very light. Has a nice pop too.
Cons: Paint chips easily.
Pros: great bat for contact hitters like Waldron and holt and has a sweet grip no stinging and I recommend it definatly!
Cons: paint
Pros: My son loves this bat. It has great pop and it feels good in his hands. He doesn't like the 2 piece anymore.
Cons: None that I know of.
Pros: A great overall bat great pop grips great no vibration at all that i have felt i love this bat the ball seems to just fly off the bat i love this bat i highly recommend this bat to anyone it is a lityle endloaded because of the extra large barrel and i like end loaded barrels but thats just me its different for everyone though
Cons: nothing
Pros: great pop or power very light weight massive sweet spot on barrel pricing is cheap and definitely worth the money
Cons: chipping in the paint from hitting baseballs but just normal wear amd tear
Pros: We've had the bat for a few weeks. So far, my son is very happy with it. We needed a drop three for the upcoming c-team season. The bat has quite a bit of pop. We've had many different bats at a much higher cost. Our experience with Easton bats has been one of the best.
Cons: None.
Pros: The S3Z Easton is the perfect bat for interscholastic baseball. It is not top heavy but still has the potential for the long ball. I highly recommend this bat.
Cons: I haven't found any yet
Pros: it had a lot of pop right out of the gate good feel
Cons: dented in the first month and caused the performance to go down
Pros: My son saw this bat online and after reading the stellar reviews decided to purchase it. This was a great decision. The bat is an excellent all aroung bat. My son who plays high school ball began hitting more consistently and with greater power. Best money weve ever spent on a bat and at a great price. Dont spend more money on another bat. This is great value for the price.
Cons: None that weve observed
Pros: This bat is amazing right out of the wrapper, broke it out in a night practice with about 60 degree temps, insane pop off the first swing. if you love a one piece bat that has a distinct ping and stiff feel this bat is for you. it swings so evenly and makes it so easy to extend out for the outer half of the plate.
Cons: NONE
Pros: Great overall bat it has a ton of pop Im 12 playing 13u and I normally swing a Exogrid 3 drop five but my coach suggested using this first at bat triple down the first base line. Easy bat to get through the zone little or no vibration. Great bat
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Great feel, great pop
Cons: None
Pros: well balanced bat with a feel. bought this bar for my son in a 32/29. Boy did I get my monies worth on this bat. lets start with the sound of a ping that gives you chills. performs great ball jumps off this bat. looks great with the graffics. highly recomend this bat
Cons: none yet??
Pros: best bat i have had so far i used to have a Easton hammer 33in my coach said to get a 34in so i got this bat good thing i did i hit great with it good pop and my coach said i have been hitting way better. i highly recommend this bat.
Cons: a little vibration
Pros: son really loved the feel of the ball coming off the bat
Cons: durablility may be higher later. have not had it a month yet
Pros: a lot of pop, very light, well balanced
Cons: to loud for indoor practice, bad grip, and everyone on my team wants to use it
Pros: I play in 3 leagues travel middle school and rec and this bat is just amazing feels like a -5 and its easy to get threw the zone on everything for middle school ive been 4 for 4 in the past three games in rec i hit 2 homeruns and racking up hits in travel i hit 1 homer and have a crazy high batting avg
Cons: the bat is just to good
Pros: smooth, big barrel
Cons: it sounds like a tee ball bat, not as much pop as i wanted.
Pros: Just got this bat and took it to the cages and the thing performs like crazy. Don't wast your money on a Mako Torq. Great hot out of the wrapper performance.
Cons: Hurts the hands a little when the ball hits the handle.
Pros: great pop and a great feel. Got it a week ago and love it
Cons: none yet
Pros: really good bat ment for speed but best bat I ever had
Cons: not bad at all
Pros: I just ordered this bat from here, and it is definitely one of the best I have ever had! I highly recommend this bat!!!
Cons: N/A
Pros: It seems to be a durable bat, the paint has not chipped and there are a few boys swinging this on our HS team. The ball does jump off the bat if you hit the sweet spot but if you hit the ball of the wrong spot the bat sounds very dead. The grip is nice and the bat is well balanced.
Cons: None it's a decent bat for the money.
Pros: Researched a great deal and decided on purchasing this EastonS3Z ZCORE BBCOR Baseball bat. My son loves the bat - it is light and has a lot of pop. It is the new team favorite! I wold recommend this purchase...
Cons: none
Pros: home runs
Cons: dents rather easy due to light weight alloy. take care of it will take care of you.
Pros: light weight good sound when you hit the sweet spot great grip used it for 2 years still has the same pop and sound
Cons: paint chips easily not great pop but still pretty good
Pros: This thing swings like a beast and lasts forever. The pop is incredible and check this out before spending a fortune on a composite
Cons: Nothing
Pros: It has great pop. I used the bat for a year, and had 4 300+ foot bombs. Great feel to it to.
Cons: It dents easily if you are a power hitter.
Pros: I've always been a fan of Easton bats and I love aluminum barrels; one piece, two, as long as I'm getting that lovely ping sound. This bat is well balanced and has a stiff feel which I love. Got mine in a 34/31 and has never let me down. I launched 4 of my 5 HR's in my last year of Babe Ruth, and performed well in Varsity ball swinging this bat. You want a well balanced aluminum bat, the s3z is the way to go!
Cons: Nothing at all
