Description

The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, S3, and S4). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3, S4). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The S4 is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Easton S4 BBCOR BaseballFanatic7 player

Pros: Very balanced swing weight and great pop for a BBCOR bat. I have swung a few other BBCOR bats and they are a lot harder to get through the zone and they are 31" 28 oz., just like mine. The ball feels great coming off the bat

Cons: Some would say the smaller barrel, but it doesn't effect my swing at all. There are no cons.

Its A Great Bat Collin player

Pros: The S4 is a really good overall bat with great pop, bat speed, and feel. The grip feels amazing and you barely have to swing to get on base.

Cons: The one bad thing about this bat is that it vibrates like crazy. Unless you hit the ball on the dead center of the barrel, it will vibrate.

The S3's Little Bro Mr. R parent

Pros: The S4 hits just like the S3 but possibly even harder when squared up because of the slight increase in bat speed. Son is pulling the ball more but if you let the ball get deep can still drive to opposite field.

Cons: With the 2 1/2" barrel you may foul off more pitches but, in the long run, it could help you become a better hitter.

The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult bat features a 2 1/2" barrel diameter while the S3 BBCOR has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The S4 is designed for increased swing speeds, but sacrifices some hitting surface when compared to the S3. Both are great options for a contact hitter.

Aubrey
Is the S4 or S2 a good bat for a power hitter? Bedolla38
Both the Easton S2 and S4 are going to be great bats. The S2 would be a better option for a power hitter because it has a 2 5/8" barrel while the S4 has a 2 1/2" barrel. Since the S4 has a smaller barrel it will have a lighter MOI giving the lightest swing weight of the two.
John
My son is 13 yrs old, 5'8" and weighs 150 lbs. He is a contact hitter and is working on faster swing speed with the heavier bats. Is this a good choice? What size would you recommend? He currently hits with a 32". McGet
One-piece bats like the Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult are best suited for a power hitter. But if you are searching for a bat to increase bat speed a 32" 2013 Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult would be a good choice.
Kara
Which is better, this or the S3? Paul
The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult and the Easton S3 will be identical in performance. The S4 just has a slightly smaller barrel for more bat control.
Noah
I'm 14 and about 5'5 and weigh about 130 lbs. And I was wondering what is the difference between the S4 and the S3? Which do you think is best for a player at my height and weight the XL3 or the S3/S4? chase
The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult has a 2 1/2" barrel and the 2013 Easton S3 BBCOR: BB13S3 has a 2 5/8" barrel. The Easton XL3 is best designed for a power hitter because of the end loaded swing weight.
Kara
I know the barrel is smaller but is it smaller where I can tell when I swing? I'm 5 ft 110 lbs and I got the 31 inch. Is that right in your opinion? What about the barrel, is it too small? ryan
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 30" Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult. The barrel is smaller and will have a slightly lighter swing weight.
Kara
I'm 12, 5' and 120 lbs. going into 7th grade. Would this be a good bat for me? cory
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult bat. It would be a good option for a younger player because it features a very light and balanced swing weight.
Aubrey
I'm 5'10" 190 lbs. going into sophomore year. I currently swing a 32/29. Should I consider moving up to 33/30 for next summer? craig

Almost 12 years old, 4'6" 70 lbs. I need a BBCOR -3 for now and in the spring. What size is right? Paul

The Easton S4 BBCOR has a 2 1/2" barrel and has the BBCOR certification which is the certification for high school and college players.
Damon
I am 5' 10" and 120 pounds, should I currently use a 32" 29 oz, or should I consider moving up to the 33" 30 oz? gates26

Noah
I am 12 years old and 4' 9". I currently use a 29" 26 oz. S3. I am looking for a new bat to use. MiguelC
The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult would be a good choice. It will swing the same as your S3. But will have a smaller barrel diameter at 2 1/2".
Brandon
I am thinking of purchasing either this bat or the 2013 Easton S3. What are the main differences? Mason
The only difference between the Easton S4 and S3 is the barrel diameter which affects the balance. The S3 has the 2 5/8" barrel diameter that most BBCOR bats feature. The S4 has a smaller 2 1/2" barrel diameter which makes the bat lighter-swinging but also decreases the contact surface.
Mac
I'm 5'2" 113 lbs. Should I get the Easton XL2 or the Easton S4? jb
If you are more of a power hitter, I would recommend getting the Easton XL2. If you are more of a contact hitter, I would recommend the Easton S4.
Justin R.
I'm 5'6" 205 lbs. I'm having trouble generating power with my current bat. It's an Easton Surge 33" 30 oz. Would you recommend an Easton S4 to generate more speed? hanleywood24
Instead of the Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult bat with the smaller barrel diameter. I'd look into the Easton S2. It will have a big barrel and have the same bat design as your Surge. The handle will be composite, while the barrel will be all alloy. This half and half technology will get you very good swing speeds while keeping a balanced feel.
Brandon
Where is the bat being shipped from? baseball4
The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult bat will be shipped from our distribution center located in Kansas City, MO.
Brandon
If I order this bat, when will it be in? Is there a warranty with this bat? none
All of our products come with fast, free shipping. If you place your order during a weekday by 9 PM Eastern time, we will ship your product the same business day. Shipping time is dependent upon your location. The 2013 Easton S4 BBCOR comes with a 400 day manufacturer warranty.
Justin R.
I have a 6'0 190 lbs son that is a power hitter and needs to elevate balls do to lack of speed. Can you suggest a bat for me to purchase? Thank you! Krista
The Easton S4 BBCOR: BB13S4 Adult would be a great option. The one-piece design is best for a power hitter. The balanced swing weight will help with his bat speet.
Kara
I'm 14, 5'6 and 152 pounds. I need a -3 bat to play in the spring. Should i order the 33" 30 or a 32"29? Eric
Based on your approximate height and weight, we would recommend a length of 32 inches. However, it is also at your discretion. If you are bigger for your age, moving up to a 33 would probably be beneficial. If you are smaller for your age 31 inches would also be able to work well for you as well. The 32 inches is just the average recommended length based on your approximations.
Merritt
I am considering either S3 or S4. Are there any other differences besides barrel diameter and how much does diameter affect balance? I am 5'9" and 140 pounds, should I use a 33" or 32"? Justin
Barrel diameter is the only difference between the 2014 Easton S3 BBCOR (BB13S3) and the 2014 Easton S4 BBCOR (BB14S4). Both bats are going to have a balanced swing weight, however since the barrel is smaller on the S4 it will have less air resistance than the S3 during the swing, which can allow for slightly faster bat speeds.
Kyle J.
Is this bat ASA approved? I'm looking for a good solid bat to use in my recreational league that I'm playing in but it needs to be ASA approved. Josiah
The Easton S4 (BB13S4) is a baseball bat and is not approved for ASA play. Take a look at the Easton L6.0 (SP13L6) for an ASA approved softball bat.
Bobby
Will there be less pop in this bat than the S3 due to the smaller barrel size? willball
With regard to pop, both the Easton S4 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13S4) and the Easton S3 will both have the same amount of pop since they both have to meet the same .50 BPF performance standard. The S4 features a smaller barrel size, which means that it does not have the same amount of hitting surface as the S3. However, with the smaller barrel in the S4, it will allow for faster swing speeds.
Tessa
I'm 5 foot 5 and weigh 110 pounds and I want a two piece bat. What should I get? bgas
Based on your height and weight and what you are looking for, I would go with a 31 inch 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14S2). It will be balanced and have an alloy barrel like the Easton S4 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13S4) but will be a two-piece model.
Patrick
Does this bat have a lot of pop? I'm a contact hitter and want more base hits. Is this the right choice for me? Myboy54327
The Easton S4 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13S4) will have great pop and performance. It would be a great choice!
Brandon
I'm debating on the S4 and S2. I need help deciding. I'm looking for a more balanced, clean swing. I just want to get that clean swing through the zone. Which do you guys suggest? DetroitBaseballVsEverybody
The Easton S4 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13S4) will swing just as light and balanced as the S2 model. The S4 will be fully alloy, while the S2 will feature a composite handle piece. The S2 will help eliminate more hand sting and vibration felt on mishits. Either would be a great choice!
Brandon
Is this bat legal for 2018 High School Play? Ryan
Yes, the Easton S4 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB13S4 is legal for play in high school now and 2018 since it features the BBCOR certification stamp.
