Description

The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The XL3 features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Best USSSA Bat USSSA Player player

Pros: This bat is great for power hitters, has no sting when you get jammed, and has incredible pop. Also has massive sweet spot. I've hit three homers in my past two games with this bat (even though I've had the bat for about a year)

Cons: The end-loaded feel sometimes feels uncomfortable facing faster pitching, but is expected with the XL3. All power hitters should have this bat.

Really well balanced bat Chris Boyer parent

Pros: Solid performance, well balanced, works well for both power hitters and contact hitters, don't be afraid of this bat it is about as perfect an aluminum bat as you can find. There are 4 players on my son's team (11 players at 13U) with this bat and they all hit very well with it. None has broken yet.

Cons: It doesn't have the flashy graphics most kids like, a lot of players have them so you won't stand out, just do it!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL13X39? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

When does this bat come out? papbear

Tyler
Is the XL3 Senior League bat going to have the 1.15 BPF stamp and have a big enough handle end piece to fit a donut? papbear
Yes, the **PRE-BOOK** 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League bat will feature the new updated USSSA stamp with the 1.15 BPF. You will also be able to slide a hitting accessory over the handle of the bat.
Brandon
Is this bat the successor to the Rival series. Any real changes other than color? Chad
Yes, the 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League bat would be the latest all alloy, one-piece model from Easton. The Easton Rival XXL: BG10XL Senior League bat was created the same. The XL3 will be made from THT100 Scandium Alloy and will have a slight end-loaded feel. It will provide a longer barrel and a massive sweet spot. The Rival XXL also provided these things. The sizing is a little different. The Rival XXL came in -10, while the 2013 XL3 will come in -9. The Rival XXL also had a bigger 2 3/4" barrel diameter while this XL3 will have a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The 2013 XL3 will have a better warranty providing a full 400 day warranty through Easton.
Brandon

Unfortunately, the 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 is not produced in a -10 or -12.
Noah

Unfortunately, the Easton XL3 is not produced in those sizes.

My son currently swings a Demarini Voodoo 31-22. He prefers bats that are endloaded. Would this bat be comparable to the Voodoo in terms of the endload? Also, what are factors to consider when looking at a one-piece bat like this versus the two-piece? Allen
The 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League will be comparable in end loaded weight to the Voodoo. One-piece bats will be stiffer, better for a power hitter. Two piece bats will have more flex.
Kara
Does this bat meet the requirements for 2013 for Babe Ruth and High School rules? Is there any composite component to this bat? Cheryl
The 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League bat is not BBCOR certified so it is not legal for high school play. It is an alloy bat and does not have any composite material.
Jeff
What's the difference between the XL1 -8 and the XL3 -9 besides the drop and the price? Jennifer
The 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League bat is a one-piece alloy design. The 2013 Easton XL1: SL13X18 Senior League bat is a two-piece fully composite design. Choosing between the two will depend on what you're more comfortable swinging.
Aubrey
Is this bat legal for pony baseball? Is this bat approved for 13-15 year old men? derricpro
No for 13-15 year olds in pony you must be using any BBCOR certified bat. You can find these bats by sorting by adult bats on our website.
Noah
What is the main difference between the Rival model and the XL3? Thanks. LUISGC
The Easton XL3 features an extended barrel with a slightly end loaded feel. The Easton Rival and the XL3 are both one-piece alloy bats.
Mac
Will this bat last 2 years of 12 and 13 year old travel ball? nick
Yes, the Easton stands by the products. They actually offer the longest warranty. It's a full 400 day manufacturer warranty.
Chad M.
Are there any advantages to an end loaded bat verses a well balanced bat, does the ball go further or what? Jon
Power hitters with high swing speed can generate more inertia with endloaded bats. So, for a stronger hitter with high swing speed, endloaded bats are recommended and will typically make the ball go a bit further. Hitters who do not have above average strength and swing speed will do better with a more balanced bat.
Tyler
Is the XL3 all aluminum? gk
Yes, the 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League bat is a one-piece alloy design.
Aubrey
Is there a minimum temperature that this bat can be used in? Chaz Man
In general I would not recommend using the 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League in temperatures 55 degrees or below.
Marcus

Kara
Would you recommend this bat for a 13 year old? Size 32" 22 oz. polo h
A 32" 2013 Easton XL3: SL13X39 Senior League should work just fine for your son.

My son is about 52" tall and weighs about 60 pounds. I was wondering what size bat should he be using? He plays in a 10U Ripken League. leyva boys
For someone the size of your son we would recommend a 28" bat, although you can go up or down 1" depending on things such as how far he likes to stand off the plate, whether he chokes up on the bat, etc. Weight is harder to recommend, as we do not know the strength of the player, although -10 and -12 are generally the most popular drops in youth bats.
Kyle J.
My son is a bigger 9 year old and weighs over 80 pounds. Is this the correct bat and can he use it in his little league? He is in the 9-11 year old divison. Gman
The Easton XL3 (SL13X39) features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter and would therefore not be legal in Little League. The Little League requires your bat to have a diameter of 2 1/4" and the applicable bats are listed in the 'youth' section of our website.
Gary T.
My son plays in Intermediate but it is still in Little League. Can he use it? Keep it moving kim
Yes, the Easton XL3 (SL13X39) is legal for play in the Intermediate Division of Little League.
John H
My son is 9 years old. He's playing Mustang this year and the next. Is this bat good for this division? Thanks. Lopez
Yes, the Easton XL3 (SL13X39 Senior League) will be legal. It will have the new USSSA 1.15 stamp. The one-piece fully alloy design will have an extended barrel design.
Brandon
If I want a more powerful bat, do I go with XL1, XL2, or XL3? Tanner
Any of the XL series will help give more power to your swing. The main difference between the 3 series is the materials. The XL1 will feature all composite construction, and be the highest performing model. The XL2 will feature half composite design and half aluminum. The XL3 is all aluminum. All will feature a similar end loaded swing weight and a large sweet spot. The Easton XL3 (SL13X39) would be good for someone who wanted a little lighter swing weight (-9), but a increase in power.
Justin R.
My son is 9 and is 85 lbs., 4'7". He plays travel ball. Is a -9 29" 20 oz. going be too heavy for him? tony92lx
The Easton XL3 (SL13X39) is an end loaded bat. It is recommend for a power hitter with quick bat speed. We typically recommend a more balanced bat for his age and size. The 2014 Easton S3 (SL14S310) is a great option.
Kara
Is this a 2 3/4" barrel? eazy e
The Easton XL3 (SL13X39) will not be a 2 3/4" barrel. This model will have a 2 5/8" barrel. The 2014 Easton XL3 (SL14X39B) will have a 2 3/4" barrel.
Kelby
Does this bat have to be broke in? josh
The Easton XL3 (SL13X39) will have an alloy barrel that will not require a break in period.
Kelby
Could you tell me what the closest bat to this is in the 2016 and 2017 model years? My son loves this bat, but the time is coming to replace it. I'd like to get him something similar that maybe has even more pop, if possible. Thanks! AtlantaFalcons
The closest bat to the 2013 Easton XL3 is going to be the 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17X38). it has seen some improvements in the last 4 years and would be a great option to replace the Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL13X39).
