Description

New for Put some more spring in your swing this season with the new Louisville Slugger TPS oneX! Re-engineered from the breakthrough Xeno bat, the oneX is designed to provide more pop and an even better feel when you swing! The oneX features a two-piece design that debuts Louisville Slugger's new T2 Technology. This revolutionary new transition technology strengthens the link between the barrel and handle to give the oneX a trampoline spring and dramatically reduced vibration on contact. This straighter, thicker rubber ring results in a bat that is not only sturdier, but feels better with every swing. Vibration from mishits are absorbed before they reach the player's hands, allowing players to be more consistent with their hitting. Like the Xeno, the oneX features S1iD Technology, except that the Xeno's aluminum inner disc has been upgraded to a composite one for the oneX. This allows for a flexible, more forgiving barrel, a larger sweet spot, and a cleaner sounding pop with every hit. Made from Louisville Slugger's thinner, high-strength, and lightweight LS-2X Composite, the oneX is ready to take the fastpitch softball world by storm! Louisville Slugger: In a Class Above Any Other! The oneX is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Louisville Slugger TPS oneX Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP1369? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between the Xeno and the oneX? Brett
The main difference between the Louisville Slugger TPS Xeno and Louisville Slugger TPS oneX is the transition. The oneX uses the new T squared transition. Many players have said the new transition is more firm and feels stronger in the swing. They also felt like it gave them a little more power. If you can imagine the Xeno transition is more like a "ball-and-socket" connection, while the T squared transition is more of a straight "T" connection that makes it stiffer.

Is there a break-in period for this bat or is it ready to go? bigperk
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS oneX will require a break-in period of 100-200 soft toss swings, and you need to rotate the barrel a quarter of an inch every hit.
Noah
Is this bat for the 5'3" 120 lbs. girl that has a balanced swing? Or the larger girl that can muscle a stiffer bat? Smitty
Using the Bat Coach Feature on justbats.com I was able to enter your player's height and weight to determine what size bat she should be using. The recommended bat length is 32". The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS oneX: FP1369 Fastpitch bat will come in a -9 size and we only currently have a 33" or a 34" available. Try this model: 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS oneX: FP136 Fastpitch. It will be a -10 and we have a 32" bat in stock. This bat is for both the power and contact hitter. This bat will be Two-Piece all Composite in design. This bat will have a very balanced swing weight. I typically see power hitters preferring end loaded, barrel heavy bats. While I see the contact, gap, line drive hitters preferring the more balanced versions. This bat will feature Louisville Slugger's new S1iD Technology which will allow maximum performance right out of the wrapper. This bat will only get hotter the more you swing with it and break in the composite fibers.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
