Pros: very well balanced bat it also feels lighter than it is. Good bat. No sting at all. Any contact on the ball it will go far. I would recommend this bat to any one.

Pros: * Extremely average bat

Cons: * No noticeable difference in pop between this bat and ones from Sports Authority * I am pretty sure they are aware of serious design flaws: This is clearly stated on their warranty page (3 instances where they will replace): Severe dents resulting from normal use Structural cracks resulting from normal use Marucci will repair or replace defective end-caps and knobs * I received the Marucci black in exchange for a Marucci Cat 5 that had a defective end cap. The knob of this bat simply broke away from the handle. I got the replacement bat in mid- 2013 and the knob broke off in October 2014. This was not even my boys primary bat - my other son moved onto a Easton S1 and the other hit mostly with a DeMarini Voodoo. - Be wary of these bats, as the only two Marucci's have failed. Be prepared to deal with the warranty department. I have never returned a DeMarini, Rawlings, Louisville Slugger or Easton. I buy many bats.

How does the barrel length on this compare to the black 2? I know both are 2 1/4. DTV

Both the Marucci Team bat and the Marucci Black are going to have very similar barrel sizes. You will not be able to see much of a difference in either bat.

The Marucci Team MYBT13 will have a 2 1/4" barrel along with all other youth bats. The barrel length will be average among most other youth bats and it will be a balanced bat.

The Marucci Team Youth Baseball Bat (MYBT13) Black are very comparable in pop and performance. The big difference between the two bats is the design. The Black 2 is a two-piece design with an alloy barrel and a composite handle. The Black 2 will provide a little more flex on the swing. The Team is a one-piece alloy and will have a stiffer feel.
