Pros: Just got my son a 28/18 RZR, had a 27/17 Rival, has more pop, Sound is awesome, and he says the weight distribution makes the bat feel lighter than the Rival. Graphics are cool too!

Cons: Grip is average.

Pros: All I can say is wow, what a sweet spot. Son hit ball to the wall off the handle, not even the barrel. Amazing jump off the bat.

Cons: That it is available to everyone. What an advantage for anyone with this bat.

Pros: Got this bat in a 27/17 for my 8 yr old. It has great balance and amazing pop. Used it for only 3 games but hit the fence with bases loaded in one, just missing a home run and hit first home run of his life, oppo over 150 foot fence in last Pinto playoff game. Not using in All Stars as it has 2 3/4 barrel.

Cons: None thus far.

Pros: Bought this for my 8 yr old. He's 60 lbs. Bat feels lighter than 17oz. Grip is good, nice barrel size and cool graphics.

Cons: I haven't seen good pop yet. I was hoping to see better pop than prodigy, but none so far. I would buy different bat next time.

Pros: great weight distribution and nice pop off the bat. Definitely seeing improvements in the quality of hits from the boys using this bat

Cons: like one of the others to submit a review, the labels (paint) began to chip off after the first game. Miken needs to get this resolved in my opinion. It does not affect the performance of the bat but over time is going to take away from the looks. I can envision the lables being completely gone after one season of use

Pros: So far we haven't found anything "bad" about this bat. It has a great sweet spot and it really makes great contact with the ball. Both my sons and I have used it in batting cages and it really connects, unlike other bats it seems to really pop the ball....

Cons: So far no complaints at all...

Pros: my son has used this bat now for a couple of months and I have to say im very pleased with the purchase. everyone on his team uses either the rival or lithium and this bat can compete with those bats. it has just as much pop as either bat. this bat is very well balanced.

Cons: bat will sting hands a little on miss hits but not to bad. the barell length is not as long as the rival.

Pros: This bat has nice balance and pop.

Cons: I have always purchased bats from the top brands, but took a chance on this one due to good reviews and price. The first bat has a rattle in it and the cap was popping off. They were great about exchanging for a new one. My son used the new bat in the cages today and the paint was coming off in flakes with every hit...there was a debri field in the batters box! The bat has great pop, but looked horrible after 2 rounds. The entire Miken sticker was gone. My son is 9 and about 67 pounds, so I would expect better durability for someone his size and strength. I am going to pay a few extra bucks for a brand that has held up year after year in the past for us. I think if Miken can figure out how to paint this bat correctly it will be a good one.

Pros: none

Cons: Don't fool yourself, this bat is a coach pitch bat. It will not hold up to kid pitching. It is also 2 3/4 barrell size, which won't be legal in most tournaments. This bat is already denting and they have dropped the price 3 times. That should tell you something. Tried the Easton S1, it was awesome, far superior product. Cost more, but it will be more productive than this toy bat!

Pros:

Cons: Unfortunately I cannot agree with the many positive reviews on here. This bat has nowhere near the pop as the Easton Rival and S3, in my opinion. Also, it cracked rather quickly... I am sending it back today under the warranty. I was hitting fly balls to the team with this bat, and then the S3... I would estimate the S3 was carrying 20 feet further with the same swings...

Pros: Well balanced, great pop, plays lighter than actual weight. My 8-y-o, 80 pounds, big swinger, loves the feel, we're on bat #3 because of durability issues, but Miken is always quick to replace if still under warranty--great investment for only $99 if you can handle being without a bat for a few days during each season when you're getting a replacement

Pros: Balanced bat with lots of pop when hit on the sweet spot. My 7 year old hit his first coach pitch home run this weekend (155 ft). Lots of line drives and hard grounders. Good for a kid that squares up on balls when hitting. Bat seems to be getting hotter every outing. We'll see how long it holds up. Yes

Do this Bat have coach pitch printed on it? Jerry
No. This is a Senior League bat and it does not have Coach Pitch printed on it anywhere.
Brett
Does the USSSA stamp mean it meets the BBCOR standard? Preston
No. BBCOR only applies to Adult baseball bats. Senior League bats are not required to meet the BBCOR standard.
Brett
Being USSSA certified does not mean the bat will be BBCOR certified. All BBCOR certified bats will be -3 adult bats. The USSSA stamped bats will be -10 to-5 senior league bats.
Brett
Is this approved for little league junior play billy
If your league allows 2 3/4 inch barrels, then this bat should be allowed in your league. This bat comes with the USSSA 1.15 BPF on the barrel of the bat. I would recommend getting a hold of your coach to see what the rules of the league are.
Todd
Is this bat compposite or alumnum? ericj
This bat would be a one piece all alloy bat.
John
How would you say this bat compares to the Easton Rival? B
Both of these bats are going to be a one piece alloy bats, so it really is going to come down to player preference.
Mark
what is the meaning of the length to weight ratio ? eubie65
It means the length of the bat, minus the weight of the bat. So if the bat is 30 inches and weighs 20 ozs. 30-20= -10 drop weight.
lkh

Mark

Miken has made some changes to the design of the bat.
Linda
Is the 2 3/4 barrel bat legal for travel ball we are located in Illinois San
It should be good to go, but there are a wide variety of rules when in comes to travel ball tournaments. I would recommend checking with your coach, but more than likely this bat will be acceptable.
John
Just saw on a msg board this language from USSSA: This rule includes ALL Big Barrel Bats. Thus, if you have Big Barrel coach pitch bat with the old USSSA mark of '1.15 BPF USSSA' or '1.15 BPF USSSA' on the barrel, that bat (while legal because of that mark in 2011) cannot be used in 2012. Is the stamp on this bat compliant for 2012? Steve
Yes this bat would have the USSSA & BPF 1.15 stamp on the bat.
John
Would this be good for 8 yr old was considering 28/18. premie34
Yes this would be good for an 8yr old, it has a nice balance and pop to it.
Linda
Two requirements for Approved bats: Manufacture must be approved Must have the stamp on it as well? Are you approved by the USSSA Mark
Yes, this bat does have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it.
Linda
We live in FLA, what temp will this bat withstand? Patrick
All alloy bats should be able to withstand any temperature.
Sean
Is this bat appropriate for 9 and 10 year old kid pitch leagues? case
You will have to make sure the specific league he is playing in will allow the monster 2 3/4 inch barrel.
Derek
Does this bat have the USSSA sticker (BPF 1.15)on it? Our league wants to see the sticker. Bucksta
Yes, this bat has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it.
Linda

Yes. As long as the bat is purchased as new, then it will come with a one year manufacture's warranty.

Yes, that is true. 2 bats for the $199.99 price.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
