Pros: Bat is great. The weight is distributed very well for a wood bat, nice sweet spot, looks incredible, and has great pop. You will not be disappointed in you buy this bat

Cons: Well you will be disappointed if you can't hit an inside fastball. If you can't hit that then I advise you stay away from wood bats and baseball

Pros: The bat felt very balanced at arrival. Felt more like a -2 than anything else but it says -2/-3. Very balanced and not as top heavy as I have heard. Also not as small of a handle as I have heard. Otherwise no issues. The hard maple also felt very solid.

Cons: None at the moment. Hopefully it lasts as long as I hope.

decent bat OGBobbyJohnson player

Pros: 271 handle, which fits comfortably, nice flare to it. handle is farely thin. pop is great and durability should be good because of how thick the barrel to handle is.

Cons: i personally found it a little end heavy, despite the long taper. this could be me because i like a long barrel. in the tc1, the widest part of the barrel is right at the end. if you like 271 models, this is a great choice. if you like a 243 for 110 model with a long barrel a bat like the MT27 or yp66 would be better. not a bad bat by any standards though

Is this BBCOR approved? DonnyB
Since the Old Hickory Bat Co. Custom Pro Maple Wood Bat is made of maple wood, it does not have to be BBCOR certified. The only wood bats that must have the BBCOR stamp are bamboo wood bats and wood bats that have composite material in them. If the bat is maple or ash, it is legal for play in BBCOR leagues without needing the stamp.

Are Old Hickory bats in general heavier than other brands such as Marucci? How is the pop compared to Marucci? bob
The Old Hickory Bat Co. Custom Pro Maple Wood Bat: TC1 Adult model will be comparable to the Marucci Albert Pujols Maple Wood Bat: AP5NB Adult bat. The TC1 Adult will have an approximate -2 to -3 Legth to Weight drop. It will also feature a Large Barrel with a Long Taper and Pro Cupped End. The AP5 will be an approximate -3 drop with a Long Barrel and Tapered Handle. It will also have a Pro Cupped End.
