The Silhouette is constructed from Mizuno's proprietary composite blend, Black Array Carbon, which allows the barrel to reach maximum performance without the need of a lengthy break-in. Speaking of the barrel, not only does it house a double wall construction which amplifies trampoline effect but it also features the new X-Zone Technology. Unlike traditional composite bats that have a consistent fiber angle throughout the length of the barrel, Mizuno has adjusted the angles of its composite within 10 specific zones. By essentially tuning each zone on the Silhouette's barrel, they've truly created one of the largest sweet spots attainable. Add in an exclusive Speed-Helix Grip and the Anti-Shock Taper Construction, and you're left with one of the hottest, most comfortable one-piece fastpitch bats ever developed.
