Pros: My son plays 10 Major. The Marucci Hex Connect -8 has lived up to the hype so far. Once it is fully broken in I expect it to be even better. We have had this bat about 2 weeks and I am impressed on how its has performed. I know the durability is there as we have used Marucci exclusively for the last 3 years......best customer service in the industry.
Cons: None
Pros: My 12 year old son has been using the bat for the last 2 weeks. He has hit 3 homeruns, 2 doubles and 2 singles.
Cons: none at this point.
Pros: ball jumps right of this bat . we have XL1 cat7 917 combat maxum . after this bat breaks in there is no comparison. my 11 year old hit 2 homers first day and many more after .
Cons: scratches up easy . I feel bad for pitchers . someone could get hurt lol . but for real .
Pros: its got really good pop not much time to break in. also connect part makes it where there is no vibration.
Cons: so the first bat i had it lasted two months before it cracked. used my warranty and got a new one. the one i got from marucci lasted only 1 month before cracking again. very dissapointed
Pros: Great composite bat. Has a solid sound and is hot right out of the wrapper. I'm 4'10" and weigh about 85 lbs. Hit a 210' fence using the first tournament. Swung the -8 bat trying to work my way down to a drop -3 before high school. 6th grader now.
Cons: Paint chip marks but overall still looks great after 6 months of use.
Pros: great pop out of the box. my boy loved the feel
Cons: only lasted 30 pitched and surface cracks . after 2 games and 1 practice the bat is now on its way for a return because the crack grew to 4" and paint is split where its not usable .
Pros: My 12yr old plays Majors used for nearly a month before Barrel broke. Up until then it had excellent pop. He was bouncing the ball off the fence at 300ft easy.
Cons: Hard to get good pop when the Barrel shatters. Only used a handful of times. In the process of getting a replacement. May need to go to a drop -5 for added strength.
Pros: has pop for the 1 time it got used
Cons: lasted 30 swings and had to ship it back as it cracked 3inches in the barrel . had to pay to ship it back and still hasnt been replaced .
Pros: great pop.
Cons: wont last more than a month. 12yr old 5'11" 145lbs was hitting fence at 300ft but bat shattered after 2 games.
Pros: GOT THIS BAT FOR MY SON TO SERVE AS A SPEED BAT FOR THOSE HIGHER VELOCITY PITCHERS HE IS FACING. ITS LIGHTER SO HE CAN GET AROUND FASTER THAN HE COULD WITH HIS -5 BAT. GOOD POP, FEELS GOOD IN THE HANDS, NICE GRIP, WELL BALANCED
Cons: NOTHING YET
Pros: This is a true drop 8. Swings easy and very little vibration on miss hits. Looks cool and holds up well.
Cons: not as much pop as a the Demarini CF's, but more inline with the Voodoo
Pros: My Son is 11 and had been swinging a 29 drop 8 2018 CF Zen. We got this bat and he felt it was very similar to the Zen out the wrapper. We have a marucci Cat 5 29/21 and have loved its durability and pop, I placed a 4 on durability as we have only had it for 2 weeks, but not issues at all.
Cons: None yet. Too soon
Pros: Plenty of pop, feels good when hitting the ball. Kids love it.
Cons: None
Pros: My 12 year old loves this bat! He moved from a drop 10 to this drop 8 and i can see the difference. Balls coming of the bat are a lot harder. This bat has good balance and incredible pop. Other kids on the team are now using it with similar results.
Cons: Every ball mark is seen on the white barrel and the lettering is flaking away after a few weeks of play.
Pros: doesnt feel like a -8, kid has confidence with it, loves the feel of it, great pop after break in
Cons: no biggie, but grip tape started to peel off good pop out of the wrapper, but not an im provement from his old bat (mako 2 piece 2014) until broken in fully
Pros: Hot after break in period. Experience the normal 2 pc composite vibration. Overall great bat for set price range.
Cons: N/A
Pros: Great pop,my son is 10years old and he has hit many homeruns with this bat. Very nice bat.
Cons: None
Pros: none
Cons: Bought the bat to for use in USSA tournament play. Hit approx. 400-500 balls off the tee and soft toss before using it for live pitches. The bat is still dead. Our biggest kids still do not get any distance with this bat. We use several different brands of bats that are far less expensive with way better results. Save your money and buy Combat, Easton, or Rawlings. More durabler bats with more pop. Waste of my money.
Pros: great pop and feel!
Cons: none yet
