Is this an aluminum bat?
Yes, the 2018 Axe Danielle Lawrie -12 Fastpitch Softball Bat: L136F features one-piece, LP1 alloy construction.
Is this bat okay for 6U. She's 4ft weighs 70. Slight Fastpitch softball since she's just learning to hit those. Thanks.
Based off the information, I would recommend the 2018 Axe Danielle Lawrie -12 Fastpitch Softball Bat: L136F in a 28 inch length. If you're not satisfied with the performance of your Axe Bat within 30 days, send it back for a refund or exchange!
Will this bat be okay for my 16 year old who is 5'1'' and weighs about 160 lbs?
This bat would work fine for them, yes. However, the -12 drop could have a higher risk of durability concerns if she is a power hitter. The lighter the bat, the higher risk of a durability issue with high bat speeds/impact forces due to slightly thinner barrel walls to make the bat so light. We always recommend swinging the heaviest bat that you can handle with good bat speed for the best power results.
All new Axe Bats come with a no risk 30-day challenge! You can use this model in a batting cage, in practice, or even in a game. If you are not satisfied within 30 days from your original purchase date, you may send it back to us for a full refund or exchange, no questions asked!
Axe softball bats are being used by players at the highest level of competition. For the 2018 season, two-time NCAA player of the year, Danielle Lawrie, has endorsed yet another fastpitch model. With a one-piece, LP1 alloy construction, you'll be able to take this design to the field right away without the worry of a break-in period or the absence of pop. An engineered hitting zone will also extend the barrel length for more plate coverage and optimize performance and durability over a 270-degree contact area so that you don't have to rotate your barrel for durability. The feature that takes this softball bat to the next level is the HyperWhip composite end cap. It helps reduce unnecessary weight towards the end of the barrel for increased swing speeds and better overall control through the zone. Axe: Make The Switch!
This Axe Danielle Lawrie Fastpitch Softball Bat (L136F) features a standard 2 1/4-inch barrel diameter, a balanced swing weight, and a drop 12 length to weight ratio that is recommended for younger players or those who are struggling to enhance their swing speed. Axe Handle Scientifically Proven Benefits
Better Bat Control - High-speed video reveals a "hammering" motion from the traditional round knob. The Axe handle stabilizes the grip, increasing barrel control.
More Power & Bat Speed - Range of motion is increased and tension is reduced in the hands, resulting in greater power transfer and more bat speed.
Enhanced Comfort - The Axe handle is ergonomically designed to fit naturally in the contour of your hand.
Reduces Injuries - Traditional handles put tremendous pressure on a single point of the hand, which contains the commonly broken Hamate bone. The flush backside of the Axe handle relieves this pressure.
