Description
DeMarini baseball bats are the top choice for many players across the nation because of their dedication to high-level performance. The DeMarini Voodoo bats are back and better than ever! With a two-piece, hybrid construction, the Voodoo delivers the traditional sound of alloy bats with the lightweight, smooth feel of composite bats. As the most versatile option in DeMarini's lineup, there's a reason it has become one of the all-time most popular baseball bats in the game. It all starts with the X14 Alloy barrel that utilizes enhanced variable wall thickness throughout for a more powerful performance at the plate. The feature and technology that sets this year's model apart from previous designs is the 3Fusion System. This one-of-a-kind design includes the streamlined 3Fusion handle along with the lightweight 3Fusion end cap that optimizes weight for better overall control and faster swing speeds. With a sleek design, the 3Fusion handle provides a serious reduction of vibration in the hands and a noticeable difference in flex on contact that helps transfer negative energy into the barrel for premier pop and incredible ball flight. DeMarini: Choose Innovation. Choose Power. Choose Speed!
This DeMarini Voodoo USA Baseball Bat (WTDXUO2) features a drop 10 length to weight ratio, a 2 5/8-inch barrel diameter, and the new USA Bat stamp. With that new stamp, this model is approved for play in AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League, and Pony. Very good Jason coach
Pros: Good pop Doesn't sting hands Unique knob feels great for bottom of lead hand Not a "heavy" drop 10
Cons: None so far
Good Pop for USA Bat Dillon player
Pros: Good pop for USA bat, especially in sweet spot
Cons: A lot of vibration despite 3fusion handle technology
Great bat Peter Chang player
Pros: Good pop; Nice grip; grip starts to fade
Cons: Too end loaded
Might Be The New Specs..... Brian Iten parent
Pros: Good feel, son says it is similar to his previous years Voodo Bats and he has been a loyal DeMarini player for 5 years now. Nice balance.
Cons: These bats are really dumbed down. Barely clearing the 200ft fence with it, yet, put a maple Marucci in his hands, which is legal for little league this year, and the ball is flying 240ft at a much higher rate. At the DeMarini price, I could have purchased 3.5 wood bats compared to this one.
good have not used in game yet liam catcher player
Pros: Good pop, no sting, only used in cage no game yet.
Cons: It seemed a little heavy, I went from mako beast to new bigger barrel usa bat.
Maintain Exit Velocity from 2017! Drew parent
Pros: *Only lost 2-3 mph from 2017 Mako - great results from the USA bat space. *No sting - hybrid connection works great *Terrific balance
Cons: None so far
awesome bat Kris parent
Pros: could not tell a difference in the new usa bats to the old bats with this bat. my son is 10 4'8" 85lbs and is swinging a 30" like they never changed the rules. He is a contact hitter and usually uses a wood bat for BP so swinging this bat was nothing for him. great bat!
Cons: none
best USA bat we tried Retro Clemson parent
Pros: Bat is as close to the old bats as any we tried. Very similar to the old -13 Voodoos, just obviously heavier. A shame they didn't make at the least a -12 for the 2 piece USA Youth version. Love the bat, its just slightly heavier than ideal for my 7 year old son. But thats only con, and not really a con i suppose. The ball sounds like the old bats when coming off this bat, cannot tell a difference off the hoof. typical Demarini Voodoo POP! Whereas the other USA bats we tried were obviously less than their predessor. This includes the Ghosts and Slugger 618. I am guessing the USA Composite bats have a longer break in period than the previous composites although that remains a guess at this point. Do not get caught up in the Composite vs Alloy debate with this bat, If you were a Voodoo fan before, this is your bat! Top USA bats of 2018 IMO are Demarini Voodoo and the Slugger 718. But Slugger 718 does not come in a 28"
Cons: bat only comes in a -10, but no cons on the bat itself as far as performance or feel.
typical Demarini Voodoo RetroClemson coach
Pros: Bat exceeded expectations of a USA bat. has similar pop to previous Voodoo bats. bat feels great, nice Alloy sound. Best USA bat my son tried. Pop was greater than that of the composite Easton Ghost X -10 or -11 and alloy Slugger 618.
Cons: -10, nothing against this bat, just wish Demarini released a -11 or even -12 for USA 2 piece bats. We previously had a 28" -13 Voodoo. -10 is too heavy for most 8u players on machine pitch.
Great Bat and highly recommended BaseballDad parent
Pros: My 10 year old was swinging the USSSA Easton Mako Comp 2-3/4" (-10) Baseball Bat - 27"/17 oz last year and the 2018 DeMarini Voodoo -10 USA Baseball Bat is the best comparison to a composite that I've seen. I compared it to other USA bats, Easton S650, Easton Ghost X, Easton Beast X, Easton S750C, 2018 Louisville Slugger Omaha 518 -10, and the 2018 Rawlings 5150. The Voodoo the best balance, pop, and contact sound than the other USA bats I listed. Most importantly it is roughly a -9 to where the other USA bats I listed are barrel heavy and range between 2 an 4 ounces over the listed weight.
Cons: none
Great Bat Coach parent
Pros: My son like the bat, and getting more comfortable with the weight and sweet spot. Hits the ball harder each day.
Cons: Took 250 swings to get the timing down on the bat, but I dont really consider this a negative thing
Awesome Bat when it comes to the new Bat Standards Jesse Gaytan parent
Pros: Bought this Bat around 3 weeks back and I got to say that it has a really nice POP for being a USA Bat. The 31 drop 10 Bat purchased did come at nearly 1 lb. 5 oz. heavier but this is something very common with the New USA Bats from what I have previously read. The Bat is well balanced and feels really good when being hold. the Homerun rate did drop by about 60 percent since not as Hot as the Bats from the previous years but on the Bright side, there is NO STINGING on my kiddo's hands what so ever on the bad hits. DeMarini did not disappoint us, the Voodoo comes at really good price and I would definitely would recommend it!
Cons: USA Bats are not at Hot as previous bats, good thing there is always the line drives to the fence though!
Better than I expected from a USA stamp... Brad coach
Pros: strong sweet spot no vibration very slight end load feel, but not end loaded tapered knob, very comfortable weighs what it says, some USA bats are much heavier
Cons: smaller sweet spot reduced trampoline action due to new USA stamp price
Awesome Bat Coach coach
Pros: My son swung a few different USA bats and this bat defnitely had the most pop and had a very balanced feel to it. He is able to control the added mass of thr big barrel bat during his swing. No sting due to the two-piece construction, but slight vibration.
Cons: Slight vibration $250 price tag but worth it
Coach Coach Michael coach
Pros: Great pop compared to the other USA bats we've tried. Vibration is not an issue...my son and other players have been using it and not one complaint of stinging hands. Compared to other more expensive USA bats this is a great bat.
Cons: Non so far
DeMarini Voodoo -10 Down South coach
Pros: This bat performs like the 1.15 bat. Great pop and zero hand sting. Changed from the Ghost X because of poor performance and stings on miss hits. Buy this one and you will not be dissapointed.
Cons: Wish i would have bought it first
2018 voodoo balanced adrian parent
Pros: better pop than other bats being used, has good balance for my son and grip feels good. he likes it overall and ive seen better ball travel compared to the Easton and other bat line ups
Cons: still feels a vibration
Not Impressed coles dad parent
Pros: Little to no vibration. My son is 9 weighs 80lb and is using 28/18.
Cons: Not much pop. Was really hoping this would be a good top end USSSA bat and compare to non USSSA. Bat sounds like a piece of dead wood with ball strike.
My son likes it EC parent
Pros: Great pop. My son is ten and he likes the weight and the length.
Cons: none yet
great us bat jake the snake player
Pros: no vibration. decent pop for new bat standards. big barrel
Cons: cost is a little steep
Meh... Stacy G parent
Pros: It's hard to come up with any pros, especially since the USA bats seem flat and have less pop. It looks good--does that count? And it might hit better if it was ACTUALLY BALANCED, but it is NOT! A kid that swings an end-weighted bat may get better results.
Cons: NOT balanced! Feels very end weighted. My son went from hitting triples and doubles to barely and rarely getting on base with this bat. He still uses a Marucci Hex Alloy for travel ball and hits fine with it, so I have a hard time finding pros for this bat. We do love Marucci bats, just not this USA version.
Disappointed Mitchell Davis parent
Pros: Can't think of any, other than looks good in the dug out.
Cons: Has the POP of a pool noodle. definitely over rated and over priced.
Great Bat ToddH parent
Pros: Great pop. My son has never hit a home run. Never expected it with these USA bats. Has 4 so far in practice. Sound is great.
Cons: It's heavy.
the best j.R. parent
Pros: light weight. great grip/feel. kid hits well.
Cons: none
first choice lp player
Pros: great bat

Hot bat! Baseball mom parent
Pros: Nice pop compared to other bats with new standards! Bought for my 9 year old because his Easton Ghost X has a horrible sting with a solid hit. The Voodoo has much less sting! Several of the other players are now using his bat and hitting great with it!
Cons: The finish on the bat didn't hold up like I expected...lots of scratches and scuffs after a few uses.
voodoo Jake Batoui player
Pros: great bat excellent pop almost no stingers i highly recommend it to club ball players in AA or AAA
Cons: none so far
COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS BAT Mark Zachiel player
Pros: Great bat hit hard with it. Has a lot of pop. Hit doubles and triples every time
Cons: none
Great Bat Kason Kesler player
Pros: I hit a homer first at bat with it the second at bat i tried my other bat and popped out.
Cons: none
Buy it! Parks99 coach
Pros: Great pop off from the bat. Very little vibration on mishits and none on the sweet spot. My 8 year old son is 54 inches tall and 73 pounds and swings the 29 drop 10 with no problem. He consistintly hits hard line drives into the outfield and hard ground balls through the infield. I was a Easton fan until now. Demarini does not dissapoint, do not hesitate to buy this bat.
Cons: Should have switched to Demarini sooner.
Good Bat so far CJ coach
Pros: About a dozen practices and three games into the season. So far this has been a good bat. Decent hits off of it by a handful of different players. Pop is better than expected.
Cons: A few complaints of vibration in cooler weather. $250 price tag.
Way better that we expected matt parent
Pros: my 7 year old hit 4 (in the park) home runs with it this weekend! He hasn't complained about any sting. Impressive for an all metal bat.
Cons: none
"GREAT BAT" Patrick Panner player
Pros: Excellent pop for a USA bat not heavy at all. Almost no vibration at all.
Cons: None so far.
PA littleleager jim Carberry coach
Pros: great "POP" I really impressed with this. I have only purchased Eastons for years. With the Rule change I decided to try the VOODOO and I am impressed with everything except the paint, and or sticker.
Cons: Paint doesn't stay nice. 7 games into season and it looks 2 years old. Marked up bad!
Coach Jesse coach
Pros: This is a good bat, good pop off the barrel
Cons: we changed to this bat in mid season, it took some time to readjust to the weight of this bat , but worth the change
Coach Rich J parent

Cons: none Yet
Larry Kerbok player

2018 VooDoo two piece the Legandary Deuce coach
Pros: this bat is as good as it gets in the USA hybrid space. swings more balanced than the Louisville 718 & lighter then the easton beast X. swings smooth with minimal sting on mishits. alloy barrel is hot out of the wrapper..
Cons: none. another great stick from demarini..
bat end cap broke jim w. parent
Pros: my kid says it has a balanced swing weight
Cons: bat end cap broke off in three mknths of use right in the middle of cal ripken districts sent bat back to demarini and they replaced ot with a LS 917 select cause they didnt have amymore 32" available so at least they back their warranty which is a good thing
cool bat max other
Pros: it is awesome
Cons: no con
USA VooDoo The legendary Deuce coach
Pros: of all the USA hybrids we used this season, this swings the lightest, although does have an end-loaded feel like the others. Has legit pop for a USA bat.. minimal sting on mis-hits..
Cons: like all other usa bats, this weighs in above the stated weight, & def has an end-loaded feel which might not be for every hitter..
good bat baseball player
Pros: Has nice pop for USA bat. If you hit it in the sweet spot has a very nice spund and will launch off the bat really nice.
Cons: the barrel isnt the biggest. to hit the ball far you have to hit it perfectly
Great Pop for USA Bat Michael coach
Pros: My 11 YO swings the 32/22 and it swings more like a 24oz. relatively no vibration and the pop is better than any of the other bats (including the Zen, Ghost that we own). May be the best bat on the USA market. We have players on our team with the 30/20 and although it doesnt drive the ball as well, it still has excellent rebound. We love this bat.
Cons: None right now
Vodoo drop 10 Charlie D Coach
Pros: Decent pop for a usa bat.
Cons: Swings heavier than a 21 ounce bat should. We need some good quality 31 inch 20 ounce bats.
Good bat. Justin Cummings Coach
Pros: Has good pop for a USA. No much sting. Good barrel control and balance. Was using a Easton ghost and switched to this. Instant results and huge difference.
Cons: Not any complaints

I'm looking at this and the new 2018 CF Zen. My son is smaller, he's 13, is 5 ft tall and weighs probably 79 pounds. We used composite bats every year and this last he used a 29"17 oz -12. We need to move him up for middle school so should we look at -10 or -5 and if so which since we have always used one piece composites with the exception of one alum/com combo. Any advice? I'll be darned we just bought a $300 bat from you guys that he played 4 games with, now we get this USA rule change switching back to rec. bballmom
My son is 11, 4'10", and 95 lbs and has been playing with a DeMarini 29 inch 18 oz CF7. Great bat, but him growing 2 inches and now with new bat rules for LL, we need to find a new bat. He assessed using an Easton Beast X -12 30" 18 oz (from a friend) did great with it. Just wondering if we should look at more bats? Most 30" are 20 oz. I was hoping to buy DeMarini again, but only see 30" 20 oz bats. Any advise would be appreciated. JC

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
