OK Eli player
Pros: None
Cons: It is very uncomfortable in the hand and it starts to slope down the barrel at the 50 in 550. So you dont have a big sweet spot.
Steph
Pros: Good compromise in drop ratio for a younger player looking for a slightly heavier bat. My son is a tall lanky 9 year old and picked this model over a couple of more expensive models based on the feel of it.
Cons: None yet.
Hate the USA bats katrina davis parent
Pros: none
Cons: Every single bat my son has had to buy for park and rec this year has ended up with a dent in it after playing only 1 game.
Awful Gabe coach
Pros: None
Cons: The barrel is incredibly short, it's TINY. Used it a few times in the cage and on the tee, but never in a game because it felt so bad in the cage. Less than 100 swings before it went into the garbage.
Parent Farrah Ogle parent
Pros: Bat looks good, but made very cheap.
Cons: Dented the very first ball hit with the bat in batting cage. Contacted customer service (800) number on hold over 1 hour and no answer. We then sent a email and received email stating send picture and proof of purchase. We sent in and no reply. Four games left and still no bat or reply. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase any Easton product.

Cons: has very little pop the bat is just dead
Too Heavy Chris parent
Pros: Price
Cons: This bat is about 2 ounces heavier than advertised.

What is the difference between S550 -8 and the $20 cheaper S450 -8 bat? The specs seem identical. Can't charge $20 for a different color scheme :) Chris
Would you say that the S550 is geared more for a contact hitter or a power hitter? Tony
Would you recommend this for 13 yr old intermediate player and will it have enough pop? Any other recommendations for this player in drop 8 or drop 5? Sam K
My son is almost 12 and has been practicing with a -3 (32" Combat). Middle school just started but he also has one year of rec ball left. I'm looking at a USA bat for rec, what would you recommend? He is 5'5" and weighs 120 lbs. paul
My grandson will be 14 in July, he is 5'9" and 145 lbs. I just bought him a 33"-30 oz bat which is good for slower pitchers but a little heavy for faster pitchers. Would you recommend a 32"-27 oz or a 32"-24 oz bat? grandpa
My son has been practicing all winter with a wood bat 33", -6 per the tape measure and weight scale. I can't decide from the [s450 - 32" - 8] or the [S650 - 32" - 5 ] because I've been reading that the Easton bats are docking 2 to 3 oz. over weight. Can you guys please place the bat in a scale and confirm. Jecko
My grandson has a 32" bat, -13, with a barrel diameter of 2 1/4". He has to have a USA bat this year. Will this bat be a good choice? Nanny
