Just purchased Chris Parent

Pros: Just bought the bat at a tournament for my 16 year old daughter. There was a vendor here with all different top makes and model bats. She hit about 20 balls with each bat and fell in love with this one. She has always had Louisville Sluggers or DeMarinis. Has not used it in a game situation yet but can't wait to see a ball come off the bat in a game!!!

Cons: None so far

Poor durability from drop 11 Bob Coach

Pros: This bat is pretty hot right out of the package. Hotter than the 2018 Demarini CFX IMO, especially out of the wrapper. Costumer service has been easy to deal with and very quick getting my new bats out to me. If Mizuno can improve the durability without hurting the pop of this bat, I would rand this bat up there with the Easton Ghost in terms of pop. Too bad the Easton Ghost does not have the best durability either.

Cons: The durability is terrible in my experience. Daughter is a 10u player. The first Power Carbon 2 bat she received broke the very first day we got it. The 2nd Power Carbon 2 broke within 2 months. It was not cold when the bats broke. The first one broke indoors hitting off a tee, the 2nd bat broke in about 60 degree weather. My daughters bat was a 30-11

Daveron

In our opinion, the 2019 Mizuno Power Carbon -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19PRCBN10 feels rather balanced.

Is there a huge difference between the -10 and the -11? The price difference between the two makes me wonder if there is a drop off in performance. Ryan
As far as performance and overall fell, the -11 and the Mizuno Power Carbon -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19PRCBN10 will be the same. The only difference that you will see is the difference in weight.
Max
My 14 daughter had the Mizuno Ghost and broke it in half with about 150 to 200 cuts of soft toss. They are going to replace it with a Mizuno Power Carbon. What is the difference between the two? Should she not warm it up? She is hitting the ball as hard as grown men. Her average distance is about 250 ft on hits with her PXT. Any input would be greatly appreciated so she doesn't destroy this bat. Will the power carbon have more pop than the PXT ? Heath Triche
When warming up or breaking in composite model bats, we generally recommend anywhere from 100-200 swings off a tee or with soft toss. However, make sure these swing are only at about 75% effort or so, and rotate the bat 1/4" or so each time so you can get a good, even break in all around the barrel. Max effort swings right out of the gate can put you at a higher risk of durability concerns, since the goal of the break in period is to avoid high impact, game-like swings. The Mizuno Power Carbon has a stiffer handle design to help with energy and power transfer into the barrel, and their Detonator Cor technology to help with barrel compression and sound. This bat should perform similarly to the PXT once fully broken in.

What Is the lowest temperature you recommend using the Mizuno power carbon 2019? Curtis
Since the 2019 Mizuno Power Carbon -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19PRCBN10 is a composite, we don't recommend using it below 55 degrees.
Tori
What is the difference between the Power Carbon and the Carbon 2? Amber
The 2019 Mizuno Power Carbon -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19PRCBN10 and Carbon 2 are similar in the fact that they are both 2-piece composite bats. However, the 2019 Mizuno Carbon 2 -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19CBN210 has a 2-piece link to help cut down on vibration and a x-zone barrel to crease a large sweet spot.
Tori
Is this bat available in a 33", -10? Rene
We currently do not have this item in stock in a 33" length, and it does not appear that we will be getting any more shipments of these from Mizuno. I would try contacting Mizuno directly to see if they have any left in stock.
Kyle J.
Why is the Mizuno Power Carbon discontinued? Ben ingram
Bats are discontinued by the manufacturer, meaning it is no longer being made. You would have to ask the manufacturer directly. Typically this is because they are switching production over to the newer models, such as the 2020 bats.
