Description

For 2016, Easton has brought the most expansive line of power and performance to the market with the all-new Power Brigade Series!

The innovation with this one starts in the money-maker - the barrel. By forging it from their most advanced alloy yet - HMX (Hyperlite Matrix Alloy) - the R&D squad at Easton has given hitters one of the most responsive hitting surfaces possible. Throw in Easton's patented ConneXion Technology that has revolutionized the two-piece game, and you have not only one of the most forgiving bats out there; but also one of the most powerful! By using hinge technology that isolates the alloy barrel from the extremely tough SIC Black Carbon Composite handle, essentially all negative vibration is redirected away from the hitters hands and back into the ball on contact. This hinge also creates an enormous amount of flex that leads to maximum trampoline - so you'll know exactly when you squared-one-up with the Easton S2 Youth.

The S2 Youth features a 2 1/4" barrel diameter, -13 length to weight ratio, new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip, and is Approved for Play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC and USSSA. Amplify Your Power and pick up the Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 today at JustBats.com. The shipping is always free, and we're always here for you - from ClickToHit!

Nice Bat Murphinator coach

Pros: Seems to be nicely designed to allow for quicker swing. It has considerable pop compared to smaller bats we were using. My son is not quite 8 and is finally able to swing a "big boy" bat. Definitely hitting further and more confident.

Cons: None so far. Have only had it a few weeks. I am interested to see how durable it it since I have read some people's reviews here and on other sites that their's dented pretty easily.

How does this S2 compare to the DeMarini Voodoo RAW? Jason
The biggest difference between the two will be how the bats are weighted. The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 will have a balanced feel to it while the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW will have an end loaded feel.
Marcus
is there any difference between 2015 and 2016 model besides the color? tim
The grip on the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) is slightly different than last years model. Other than that, the construction and performance of the bat will be extremely similar.
Patrick
Looking for a bat that has minimal vibration and is a light bat. Would you say this is an overall good bat? My son is 4'9" and 100 lb. I like that this is a hybrid design. baseballdad
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 would be a great bat to consider if you are wanting a balanced bat that will feature anti-vibration technology.
Cameron
How does the barrel and sweet spot of the Easton S2 compare with the Mizuno NightHawk? Also, how do the balance and swing weight compare? My son is on the small side and can't wield a heavy feeling bat. Should these be on my target? Thanks Albert
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 and the Mizuno Nighthawk will be similar bats. Both are two-piece designs that will feature composite handles and alloy barrels with a balanced swing weight. As such, both of these bats would be good options to consider for someone who is on the smaller side.

What is the difference between the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) and th Easton S1 Youth Baseball Bat (YB14S1). I'm looking for a bat for my son who is 11 years old and 4'10" and 88 lbs. Bobby
The Easton S1 Youth Baseball Bat (YB14S1) is a two-piece full composite bat, whereas the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Easton S1 is also has a -12 drop, whereas the Easton S2 has a -13 drop.
Damon
Which would you prefer to swing between a 2016 Easton S2 or an S3? I want my son to swing a 30/17 or 29/16. He is a contact hitter rather than a heavy hitter and I'm trying to weigh my options. BVK
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 is a two-piece hybrid design that will feature an aluminum barrel and a composite handle while the Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design. Typically, one-piece aluminum bats are geared more towards a power hitter if that helps your decision at all.
John P.
Does the S2 come in a 29"/17 oz size? Ken
This 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) is built with a -13 length-to-weight ratio. Therefore, if you were to get a 29" model of this bat, it will come with a 16 oz weight (it won't be possible to get a 29"/17 oz model).
Ben
What's the difference between the S2 and the S3? Why is the S2 priced higher than the S3? Is the S2 better than the S3? frosty
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) is a two-piece hybrid design whereas the Easton S3 is going to be a one-piece alloy design. The S2 is priced higher than the S3 because it does feature the composite handle. Both bats would be excellent options for you. If you prefer the feel of a two-piece the S2 would be best, but if you prefer one-piece stick with the S3.
Jake
Do you guys do any demos? Frosty

My son is 5 years old. He is 4'2" and 65 lbs. He is starting coach pitch. Would this be a good option to consider? chad
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would make a general recommendation of getting a 27" or 28" baseball bat. At the time of your question, we have the 28" option of this bat still in stock. I would recommend getting the 28" bat as long as you feel that he can handle the 15 oz weight. As well, I think that this YB16S213 will be a good bat for consideration since it will have a very balanced swing weight that is good for players that are first starting out in baseball.
Ben
My son is 5ft 130 pounds he has a great swing and alot of power just trying to find him a good bat that will not dent in the first few weeks.. any ideas... Tothemoon..
I believe that you would be good with the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) despite one of the reviews saying it dented on them. Every model will have a few lemons. If you wanted a composite bat that is guaranteed to not dent I would definitely check out the new 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Youth Baseball Bat (YB17MK11). We would recommend him swinging a 30" bat.
Carter
My son is 9 yrs old, 5' & 130 pounds playing Little League. Trying to find him a good bat for his power. What would you recommend? Conman
Based on his height and weight, we would recommend getting a 30 inch bat. The weight should reflect what he is currently using and how well he can handle that weight. To get more power, it is better to swing a heavier bat assuming the added weight does not adversely affect swing path and bat speed. When going up in weight, we would advise no more than 1-2 ounce increase.
Cameron
My son has the 2014 easton S1 and we are looking at a new bat. He is hits on consistent basic most to the outfield so I guess you would say he is a heavy hitter. should I go with the S2 or S3? Clifford Jackson
Based on what I know about your son I would probably recommend going with the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S213) over the 2016 Easton S3 Youth Baseball Bat (YB16S313).
Carter
Does this bat need to be broken in or is it ready right out the wrapper? Cliff
No, the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 is a two piece half and half design so it does not need to be broken in. The only bats that need to be broken in are full composite bats.
Cooper
Does this bat come in 28" (-12) danielle
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 will not be featured in a -12 length to weight ratio.
Cameron
what age group is this bat good for and this is a half and half correct? my son will be in 14u and I need help ordering a bat. bigmama3
The 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 is generally used by younger players, 7-9 years of age playing in a league that requires a 2 1/4" barrel diameter. This is a two-piece hybrid, meaning it has an alloy barrel and a composite handle. Before ordering a bat, you would want to check with a coach to see if he needs a certain barrel diameter or BBCOR certification.
Logan
My son really loves the 2015 model in the S2. What are all the differences between the '15 and '16? c17
The main difference between the 2016 Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 and the 2015 model is the paint design and grip tape as both bats feature the same HMX alloy.
Cameron

The Easton S2 Youth Baseball Bat: YB16S213 cannot be used in Little League as this bat does not feature the USA certification.
