Description

The COMBAT MAXUM is back and continues to push the limits to new heights. COMBAT has made a name for themselves with the MAXUM in the bat industry by consistently delivering an extreme combination of an ultra-balanced feel, extremely fast swing weights, a HUGE sweet spot, and unparalleled performance. This COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 provides hitters with an almost unfair sweet spot that is 20-40% larger than competitor models! Switching to the SL7MX211 will also result in an average of 38% Swing Weight Reduction which is the lowest swing weight ever! These models are one-piece, fully composite designs crafted with a seamless construction. A carbon-fiber sleeve runs the length of the bat providing uniform strength for a fine-tuned performance. Unlike typical composite bats that are created by rolling or overlapping layers of material, the MAXUM is produced with advanced Precision Molding Technology (PMT). The PMT process injects liquid resin into seamless high-quality carbon sleeves under extreme pressure. The result is an ultra-consistent product that eliminates seams and weak points that you get with the traditional process. No seams means no dead spots! That means players can rest-assured that the MAXUM will deliver perfectly tuned performance over a longer lifespan. COMBAT is so sure of this ground-breaking design, each baseball bat is backed by a full twelve (12) month warranty. Additionally, the SL7MX211 features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Certification, a -11 length to weight ratio, and a 2 3/4 inch barrel diameter. COMBAT: Measure Up to MAXUM! Awesome Bat Doug Canter parent

Pros: The sweet spot on this bat is excellent. The pop my 12 year old gets out of this bat is awesome. First year in select and he is facing 70mph pitching and because of the design of this bat he is smashing it.

Cons: Does seem to get ringing in hands

Good Pop, Not Maxum Sized, Hand Ringer! Rambo's Bodyguard parent

Pros: Bat has good pop, nice lizard skin grip already installed. I put 4 stars for Durability but haven't had long enough to really know how well it will hold up.

Cons: They call this the Maxum but in comparison to other Maxums I've seen, the barrel isn't that big on this model. That was let down number 1, then the worst thing is how bad it will ring the player's hands if they hit it off the end of the barrel.

Great Bat R.H. coach

Pros: My son has used 3 different Combat bats. Great feel and weight distribution. Great pop and overall a great bat.

Cons: As he moved into bigger models the third one he got cracked after two weeks using it. JustBats.com customer service was great and replaced it right away.

Durability is poor in my experience Combat Consumer parent

Pros: Nice feel. Excellent balance. Easy to control for a 10 year old. Drop 11 is very hard to find, but was a great fit for my son. Really like the bat and if it would stay together I would highly recommend it.

Cons: Durability is very poor. On our third bat this 2017 season due to cracking on the barrel and one bat broke in two on contact with a pitch from a coach during practice. However, Easton has been great about replacing the consistently breaking bats and allowing my son to continue through the season with the same bat. Easton has assumed Combat operations.

Hot Bat Bobby Warren parent

Pros: Son received this bat just over a week ago. He is smaller for his age group so this bat allows him to cover the strike zone without being too heavy and has a lot of pop. Shortly after breaking in, he dominated batting practice, hit a home run in a tournament skills competition and has hit the fence in a few games turning him from a contact hitter to a power hitter.

Cons: None at this time.

Pros: its all about the pop. Ball definitely jumps off bat, longer barrel is great as well!

Cons: There is a good bit of sting on miss hits, but with longer barrel and large sweet spot, doesn't happen too often.

Good bat not great Scott parent

Pros: When you do hit the sweet spot it FLYS!!! my 12U player uses this against faster pitchers. Bat feels nice in his hands. overall great bat for price.

Cons: Zings hands too often. Seem when not hitting sweet spot you get dead sounding noise and bat doesn't drive as well as some of his other bats on just basic hit like hard grounders and line drive.

2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: Eric E parent

Pros: Have only used in practice and BP currently, however my son is completely in love with this bat. His swing is more balanced and fly through the zone. He loves the installed Lizard Skin on the handle as well, he has not used with his batting gloves as of yet because he likes the grip the skin provides, have not had any of the bat sting issue as of yet.

Perfect for 8U Travel Ball Ben APplegate coach

Pros: My son is 7 he is 94lbs and taller than any kid on the team. This bat is perfectly balanced. The barrel has a very large sweet spot. We have probably hit 250+ balls now and it has really come alive now that its breaking in. My son has yet to complain about stinging his hands. I could not believe the price was under 100$ because it feels like a 400 dollar bat. Highly recommend you to have buy this for cheap.

Cons: Curious to see how the durability holds up so we will see.

My Son is crushing the ball Kenny Ruiz parent

Pros: My 8 yr old son is 4 ft 9 and weighs 105 lbs and using the 30 in 19oz. He is crushing the ball with this bat to the point that the coach of our team won't allow infielders when my son is taking BP. The coach literally sends all the kids to the outfield to chase balls. My son says this bat has better feel than his Demarini Voodoo bat with less vibration. Extremely happy with the purchase especially at the discount that's available.

Cons: This bat will not be legal to use in our league in 2019.

Pros: Feels lighter than 17oz, has nice pop. Been using the 28" 17oz at practice and a lot of kids really like it. Sounds like a wooden bat. My son got it for Christmas and he really loves it. I have to say the balance on this bat is perfect and makes for a quicker swing. good bat for the money.

29 inch -11 combat Damian coach

Pros: Lighter bat for a skinnier 11u player. A lot of his teammates also use it now, because of the lighter feel to the bat. That one ounce does make a difference. A great price for this bat, would buy it again if I had to do it over.

Cons: Had to get used of the handle. Vibrated his hands the first few times, but doesn't even notice now. Been having the bat about a month now, can't comment on durability yet.

Pros: Just ordered this bat for my son. The price was the reason. He had the Louisville Slugger Catylist the last two years. He told me its equal to but not better than the Slugger.

Cons: My son told me it rattles or vibrates even if you hit it on the sweet spot. Not sure about the durability we just purchased the bat. He likes the overall feel but he has only used it in the cage and not in games yet.

Pros: My son likes the look and general feel of the bat. It's given him some better pop and thus far it's been durable. Have owned for one month playing travel ball.

Cons: Son is having a hard time with the vibration and stingers coming off this bat if it's not hit just perfect every time. No other bat we've used he's had such a hard time. Have doubled up the tape to try to assist with the sting if not hit perfect.

Best Bat in the League Intense Coach Coach

Pros: Coach and Parent: The big barrel with a large sweet spot helped my seven year old son and his teammates consistently hit the furthest in the league. After one year and typical abuse from kids, the bat still looks new. I'm not sure if the newer more expensive Combats are any different, but this one was outstanding for the price.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the COMBAT MAXUM -11 USSSA Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

When is this bat coming out in 32 inches? Hitman
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is not manufactured in a 32 inch length from COMBAT.
Cameron
I've read some reviews and it says this bat has a lot of pop, but is not durable. I was wondering if this bat is going to be durable with a lot of pop? Acorn
This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) is a new 2017 model (and there wasn't a 2 5/8" model with a -11 length-to-weight ratio for 2016) so we haven't been able to see a whole lot in regard to durability. However, I would imagine that the performance will be there on this bat as the 2016 MAXUMs were a great success in regard to performance.
Ben
What is the difference in this bat vs the new DeMarini CF Zen? lugnut
This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) will differ from the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Balanced Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCBZ) as this MAXUM is a one-piece bat while the CF Zen is the two-piece bat. You'll notice as well that this MAXUM is a -11 model while the CF Zen is a -10 model. Lastly, I think that the longer barrel length on this MAXUM will lead to a slightly larger sweet spot on it as well. However, in regard to similarities, both bats will be pretty balanced in their swing weights and both bats are all composite in their build.
Ben
My son is 9 years old and weighs 84 lbs. His coach says to use a heavier bat for more power. (1) What is the difference between a -11 and -10? (2) Should he get a BBCOR? rg
(1) The difference between a bat that is listed as a -11 like this 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) and a bat that is listed as a -10 is going to be the length-to-weight ratio. The length-to-weight ratio is the difference between the number of the length in inches and the number of the weight in ounces. This COMBAT MAXUM has a difference of 11 between the number of the length in inches and the number of the weight in ounces. A bat that is listed as a -10 will have a difference of 10 between the number of the length in inches and the number of the weight in ounces. Therefore, if you were to compare a -11 bat and a -10 bat that both had the same length, the -11 model would be 1 ounce lighter. (2) I would not recommend getting a BBCOR for a 9 year old player. BBCOR bats are meant for use by high school and college aged players. Those bats will be listed as -3 models. They will be much heavier than a -11 model like this COMBAT MAXUM.
Ben
Why is the -10 cost so much more than the -11? Mark
Due to the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 not being the more common size used by players it will come with a lower price tag as COMBAT sells them at a lower cost.
Cameron
Is this bat BESR certified? Adam
No, the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is USSSA 1.15 BPF certified.
Jason
Do you expect the 2017 MAXUM (-11) to have the same "pop" as the 2016 MAXUM (-12)? Gary B
This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) is made with the same composite material and should be able to display extremely similar performance to the 2017 MAXUM (-12) bat.
Ben
Do you need to break this bat in? John
Yes, we would recommend around 100-150 swings off the tee or soft toss. Make sure you rotate the barrel about a quarter of an inch every 15-20 swings to fully break-in the composite fibers throughout the bat.
John
Do the SL7MX210 and SL7MX211 have the same performance characteristics when the weights are equal (i.e. - a 31"/20 oz of the SL7MX211 and a 30"/20 oz of the SL7MS210)? Rodney
Yes, this 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) and the SL7MS210 will have the same potential for performance when you are comparing models of similar length and weight (the only slight advantage is that this SL7MX211 features a larger 2 3/4" barrel diameter).
Ben
I want to purchase this bat but have one question. How are any warranty issues being handled for Combat bats now & in the future? Hap
Combat bats purchased from JustBats.com, such as the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211, will feature a 12 month warranty through JustBats.com instead of the manufacturer.
Logan
I read Combat is out of business partly due to their 500 day warranty and return issues. I heard this bat is very good but can periodically have cracking issues. Will you honor the 12 month warranty with this bat? Or what is your policy with this bat? MARK COMBS
Yes, we will honor the warranty on all Combat bats purchased from us.
Kyle J.
Which bat is best for an 11 year old who's playing travel ball? sheila j
A very popular and highly rated bat for an 11 year old playing travel ball would be the 2016 COMBAT VIGOR -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: VIGSL110 in a 30" size.
Logan
The barrel is a 2 3/4", correct? fe
Yes, the barrel is 2 3/4"
Mick
I just bought the -11, thinking it was a -10. It is for my 9 year old twins. They have been using a 30"/20 oz (-10). Will they be alright? Alvarado
If you purchased this 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX211) in the 30"/19 oz size or the 31"/20 oz size, I think your players should be fine to use either of those sizes of bats. However, once they start to get older, you'll want to consider using progressively heavier bats so that they grow stronger with age in their swings.

If I purchased this bat, would it have the USA Stamp for approved use in any little league organization? Kimo
This bat does not carry the USA certification stamp. It has the USSSA stamp. Only newer 2018 models will have the USA stamp on them. However, Combat does not have any USA certified bats.

Granted this is a '17 bat, is there still a warranty? I see a lot of reviews mentioning cracking etc. Troy
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 does come with a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase.

How does this 17' Combat Maxum compare to the 16' Marucci Hex Alloy in performance? Distance, pop and sweet spot size? Ball4life
The major difference between these two bats will be that the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is a one-piece composite bat compared to the one-piece alloy construction of the Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat. Furthermore, the 2017 Combat Maxum will provide a lower swing weight and a 20-40% increase in hitting surface. The pop and distance provided from each of these bats will be very similar as they are both held to the same USSSA regulations.

My son is 9 years old and a little small for his age. What would be a good bat for him in his 1st year of 9U travel ball? deeprvr31
In my opinion, I think one-piece bats are more beneficial to younger players because of the durability they provide. With that being said I think the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 in a 29 inch length would be a great option for your player.

Is this bat a USA approved bat? johnny baseball
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is not USA Baseball certified. It is however, USSSA eligible.
Tyler
Do you have a 31" 20 oz. available? Alex Villafuerte
Unfortunately, we have sold out of the 31" 20 oz. 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211. Since the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is a closeout model, we will not be re-stocking any of the sizes.
Logan
What is true weight on this bat and how does it compare to the 2018 Cat 7? angela
Most bats will weight .5-1 oz heavier than the listed weight due to things like the paint and adhesive glue not being factored into the listed weight. The Marucci Cat 7 is a one-piece, all alloy model while this Combat is a one-piece, composite design. Both bats should perform very well.

What is the difference between this bat and to 2018 model? socalrake
There will not be much different between the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 and the 2018 model minus the cosmetic design of the bat.

My son is 8 going on 9 and is around 4'6" and 76 pounds. He has been swinging a 27" drop 12 Easton for a couple years until it broke. I am not sure if he should move up to a larger bat. I was thinking about the 27/16 or the 28/17 Combat Maxum and really not sure which way to go. Any help would be great. robert
Based on your player's height and weight, as well as his age, I would suggest the 28/17 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 given the two options listed.
Logan
My son it 7 years old and batting with a 27" 19oz bat. He is 50" and about 53 lbs. His current bat has worked fine but I have always thought it was a bit too heavy. Now his is going into all-stars and will be facing faster pitchers. Is this a good bat for him or is there a better version out there? Also, it has to be USA bat certified. Thanks for your insight! Coltino
To start, the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is a USSSA approved bat, but will not be allowed for any USA sanctioned baseball. Unfortunately, Combat has not made a USA model bat. If you were looking for a lighter USA model, I would recommend checking out some of our (-10) USA options.

I bought this bat for my 9 year old son and it seems to be very dead and it vibrates! It doesn"t make any sound when hits it. What"s up with that? Joe
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 is a fully composite bat. With composite bats, a break-in period is needed to loosen up the composite fibers and see the bat's true performance. To break-in the bat, we suggest either soft toss or hitting of a tee for about 200 swings, rotating the bat a 1/4 turn every 10 swings. As a one piece bat, the player could experience some vibration with mishits.

How would you compare the 27' Combat Maxum versus the Easton S2? Which is more balanced to give an easier swing? Which has better pop? Are these both 2 3/4' and legal for travel ball in 2018? For rec ball we are using the Rawlings 5150 USA bat, but I want to get a big barrel for travel ball now. e"s baseball dad
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -11 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX211 will be a more balanced feel than the S2, will be very close in performance of the bats and will both be legal for travel ball in 2018.

My son is 7 years old, 47 inches tall and weighs about 50 lbs. Should he swing the 26 or 27 inch SL7MX211? Brad Gentry
Either size could work for his height and weight really. This is where other factors such as how far does he stand from the plate, his strength, if he chokes up or not, etc also come into play, as well as personal preference.
