Description

The latest and greatest members of the Big Barrel Power Brigade are here and ready to be unleashed.

The Easton XL3 is a perfect example of how Easton constantly pushes the boundaries of technology and sets the standard for high performance baseball bats. Swiftness, durability, and truly advanced innovations are all a part of every XL3 that Easton produces. They strive to give players of all ages a significant and measurable performance advantage during every at bat. It all starts with the extra-long, monster barrel design. Composed of Easton's HMX (Hyperlite Matrix) alloy, the XL3's barrel offers an expanded sweet spot and exceptional durability. The traditional one-piece alloy design ensures that all energy is transferred directly into the ball on contact and nowhere else. What sets the XL3 apart from other traditional one-piece designs is the fact that this model features an end loaded swing weight for more mass behind each swing. This gives each player the opportunity to swing for the fences. Wrapping the features up is the fact that each XL3 comes with Easton's HYPERSKIN grip for supreme control and enhanced comfort. Easton: We Play To Win!

This Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 features a -5 length to weight ratio, a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter, and the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. In addition, Easton is backing this design with a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty. Purchase your XL3 baseball bat today with free shipping right here at JustBats.com! Great bat NikoMaxim player

Pros: Today a local training facility had a Easton bat demo day, in which you could try all the new 2017 bats from Easton. My favorite bat that I tried was the XL3. Honestly, I tried the new 2017 Mako Beast XL, and I thought it had decent pop, but it felt like it had a heavier MOI (Moment of Inertia), or swing weight than the BBCOR version of the Mako Beast XL, and the Xl3. I also believe the 2016 model has equal or better performance than new Beast XL. The Xl3 is the superior bat this year because I feel like it has a much lower swing weight than Beast XL, even though they are both labeled as a top heavy bats. I also believe I can get my hand threw the zone much quicker because of that lower swing weight, and I believe both bats have great bats have great pop, but in my opinion if you hit the ball right, the XL3 has a much better feel on contact.

Cons: None yet on this astounding bat.

What is the difference between the 2016 and 2017 models of the Easton XL3 senior bat - SL17X35? Rao Gondy
The main difference between the 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 and the 2016 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16X35 would be the colorway. Both of these bats will feature HMX alloy, end-loaded swing weight with HYPERSKIN Grip tape.
Cameron
Can I use this bat in high school? dj
The 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 has a drop 5, so it would not be legal in high school. High school levels require a drop 3, which would be BBCOR certified.
Linsey
Looking for an end-loaded, one piece bat to provide some extra power for my 10U contact hitter. Would you recommend this bat? Fast Ed
If you are looking for a one-piece bat with an end-loaded swing weight, I would definitely recommend this 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17X35). The end-load will definitely benefit a power hitter. Also, as long as the -5 length-to-weight ratio is optimal for him, this would definitely be the bat to get.
Ben
Is it a 2 1/4" barrel 32 inch in a composite bat? Leslie Akehurst
The 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 is a composite bat, although it is a 2 5/8 barrel width.
Max L
Is this bat a 32 inch with a 2 1/4" barrel? Also, is it a composite bat? Leslie Akehurst
Yes, the 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 is available in a 32" but it is a 2 5/8". If you are looking for 2 1/4" barrels you are going to want to look at "Youth" baseball bats. Also, the Easton XL3 is a one piece full alloy bat.
Cooper
Is the 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 legal for Babe Ruth (13/14 division)? Baseball Parent
The 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 is legal for use in Babe Ruth as this bat features an alloy barrel. The rules for this division state that any alloy barrel featuring a 2 5/8" barrel can be used. If a player wants to use a composite bat then it must be a BBCOR model.
Cameron
Is this bat meant for a contact hitter or a power hitter? Coach
The 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 can be used by both and have success, but I would say that the XL3 leans towards a power hitter.
Max
I will be 13 years old next time I play Dixie youth baseball, can I use this bat in the 2018 season? Baker15
Dixie youth is changing their bat rules so the 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 would not be legal for the 2018 season. For Dixie, all bats will require the new "USA Baseball" stamp to be legal. Those bats are scheduled to come out the beginning of September.

My son is 13 years and about 5'3" and 110 lbs, is a 31" a good size? eman

My son is 5'3" and 130 lbs. He is 12 years old and is ready to move up to a (-5). I'm thinking about purchasing him the 31x26 in this bat. Do you think this is the right size for him? Also, he had the S3 last year and dented/cracked 2 of them. Is this bat a lot more durable than the S3? jody
Based on your player's height and weight, I would suggest the 31" 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35, as you mentioned. The 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17X35 will be more durable than the lighter S3 he swung previously.
Logan
I'm 14 years old. Last year, I had a -8, XL3 and did well. I was just wanting to know which bat would have more pop? Should I stay with an XL3 or get something different? Cody Woodward
Since you did well with the XL3 (-8) last season, I would recommend getting another XL3, but moving up to the -5 length-to-weight ratio. This 2017 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17X35) will feature a -5 length-to-weight ratio and a decent end-loaded feel like the bat you have used in the past.
Ben
