Description
The game of baseball will never be the same now that the all new AXE bat design has hit the scene. The revolutionary design is exactly what it sounds like. The handle of an AXE bat is designed like the handle of an actual axe to provide optimal control and grip of the bat. The design is unique and helps every hitter align their hands properly on the bat providing maximum feel and comfort. The AXE handle fits flush against the bottom hand, locking it in place while allowing hitters to set their own hand position. The ergonomic shape provides better leverage and better extension while eliminating the negative force generated by the traditional knob during each swing, which provides overall better bat speed. This design promotes a palm up/palm down contact position, leading to a greater consistency of correct swings. The flush fit helps reduce bruising of the palm and potential injury of the vulnerable hamate bone and promotes a better follow through and smoother release. Now, you can swing this unique design in a professional grade maple hardwood. With its 271 turn and cupped end for great balance, this wood bat is equipped to take your game to the next level! The REVOLUTION is here; AXE bats, don't step in the box without one. Axe Pro Hard Maple Wood Baseball Bat: (L118 Adult) with Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat has Axe's sweet, sweet handle. If you haven't tried one, you should. This bat won't make you a better hitter overnight... It isn't magic. It is just very comfortable, and has plenty of 'pop.' The fit and finish are quite good. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. I'm hitting about the same, but the pommel never hurts my palm, there is virtually no movement in my grip, and batting gloves almost feel optional.
Cons: I'm sure I'll break it eventually, but it IS a wood bat and that comes with the territory. The Axe logo is a sticker, and it peeled up pretty quickly in the humid Texas weather. This is not a functional problem, of course. I wish they would have used a natural finish. The lacquer (or paint?) on the handle make it feel slippery (it really isn't), and the lack of lacquer for the bleed dot breaks the otherwise consistent feel of the handle. I find that to be mildly distracting at times. All in all an excellent bat, and my 'cons' are very minimal.
Pros: Handle is so comfortable Ton of pop! Extremely durable I feel confident with this bat in my hands
Cons: None
Pros: This bat really is the most comfortable bat I have ever swung! There's no denying that it is made to fit in your hands. I feel like I am squaring up more balls too. I have been swinging my axe bat for 3 months now and it still has great pop with minimal dents.
Cons: I really wish there were more color / custom options. Their standard color options are solid, but I prefer to go against the grain, no pun intended, with bat colors. Add color options but maintain the quality!
Pros: Best wood bat I have ever purchased. It gets my hands through the zone fast while still maintaining power. I've been using it in my college summer league and it has stood up to 90+ pitching. About 30 games played with it and still no breaking. 100% worth the money.
Cons: I bought a lizard skin but it does not really work on this bat because of the handle shape.
Pros: Feels great to swing. Ball does jump if hit in right spot.
Cons: Broke on 4th swing. Ball was hit just off center and shattered. Not the first time. Need to hit perfectly square every time or you are just tossing your money away. No refunds. If you are going to use this bat in a game better be sure you have a backup--or three ready to go.
Pros: Great Bat!
Cons: None so far.

About the Brand
Launched by Baden Sports in 2011, the Axe line of bats was hailed as a breakthrough in bat technology by players and coaches from youth leagues to the Pros. The makers of the Axe line of bats often pose the question, "What does your traditional knob do for you?" Most players don't have a good answer. Axe engineers have created a handle that is not only more comfortable and safer in terms of hand injuries, but also helps improve the hitter's swing by keeping them on an even plane. Although Axe is new to the market, they are backed by Baden Sports, Inc., an independent, family-owned company that has been making baseball products since 1979. Their passion to create a better game is unparalleled, making it no surprise that the Axe handle is set to be baseball's next big thing.
