BamBooBat - the New Weapon in Baseball! Why BamBooBat? BamBooBats are made from the highest quality bamboo material available. Bamboo is one of the strongest natural materials on the planet with a tensile strength of 28,000 PSI versus 23,000 PSI for steel. This is so important given the ease of breakage found in normal wood bats. Take your BamBooBat to the practice fields with no worries of easy breakage as well as a 100-day one time manufacturer`s warranty replacement. This assures players that even if they make a mistake and hit the ball on the wrong spot of the bat within 100 days of the purchase, BamBooBat will pay for the mistake with a new bat! BamBooBat uses its Patent Pending Quadcore Technology that allows the ball to `jump` off the bat. This Quandcore Technology also allows for a balanced feel not found in some other bamboo bats. BamBooBats are made with a beautiful high gloss lacquer finish on all models. BamBooBat: Go Green, Save the Earth. Free Shipping!
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat has very good pop. I've been using this bat in the batting cages. It really helps your bat speed and your strength. The bat has not cracked or dented yet. I've been using it once a week and no problems. A great buy.
remove_circle_outlineCons: The only concern I have is that the white paint shows where you've hit it. It leaves a brown mark on the barrel. Otherwise its an awesome bat.
add_circle_outlinePros: this bat is awesome. I just got it today and i was instantly impressed. i opened the box and pulled out a velour bag. I opened the bag and found the most beautiful wooden bat I have ever seen.GREAT BAT!!!!!
remove_circle_outlineCons: I would recommend buying a bat grip or using pine tar, because the clear coat on the bat is very slick. All i did was use some white athletic tape.
add_circle_outlinePros: Jut got the bat in time for my 9 yr old's All Star Game, hit a smash double. More importantly he loves the feel of the bat. This replaced a brand new Mattingly V grip and an Easton Composite bat $$. Honestly, the ball jumped off the barrel. I recommend kids to at least use a heavy bat for practice. Then use this to crush some shots.
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat has a good feel and good pop when hit on the sweet spot. My son is 12 and has hit the ball a couple of times off the handle and the end of the bat with no breakage so far. I like the 100-day guarantee, in case he does break it.
add_circle_outlinePros: My 9yo has used this bat about 4/5 times for batting practice. batting TEE, soft toss and live fast pitch. About 200 swings per practice and all with hard leather cover balls. Bat has good weight balance, looks nice and has good pop.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Paint has chipped a little and marks up easily. I don't really care about the paint and marks, but the real the reason why I did not give it 5 starts is because the bat is not within the 5-6 oz. range. My 9yo swings a 28/18 metal. I would have been okay with the 5-6 oz., but I weighed that bat myself and it's 7 oz. drop. It's a good bat, I was just hoping that it would be on the heavy end of the scale.
add_circle_outlinePros: Awesome bat! My 12 yr old kid hit a 260' bomb. Not to fimilar with wood bats but the bamboo seemed to be the right choice for my kid because of the minus 6 ratio. I also put the same batting grip on the handle as the easton xl1, so it feels the same. This bat also has a 90 day warranty which is cool. Will be buying more bats coming up soon.
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat is awesome and the minus 6 fits just right for my 12-yr old. Also, I put an easton XL-1 bat grip on the handle to my kid, and my kid says it feels just like his easton XL-1, and he put one out approx 250', luck? Maybe, or Bat grip? Maybe, who cares, it went over fence and my kids loves this bat and the price is just right. Peace.
This bat has a weight of 24-23oz. The approximate weight of this bat is -5 to -6 length to weight ratio.
My son is 5'5" and 160 lbs. What length bat should he use? He is 12 years old and playing on a majors team.
The recommended length for a player his size is a 32". The HBBWY is available in a 32" and will have a weight between -5 to -6.

My son is 8 turning 9 in October. He weighs 65-70 lbs. He plays on a traveling team and he needs a wooden bat. Right now he is using a 27oz -10 TPX. I want to get a wooden bat that fits him like his TPX.
The lightest 27" wood bat we currently have would be the
MaxBat Maple Wood Bat: Youth. Here is a link to take a closer at this bat.

Are these wooden bats BBCOR Approved?
No. The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth model is a youth bat that is not BBCOR approved.
Why are there no wooden bats that equal what most 11 or 12 yr old use now as far as weight goes? There is no way my son who swings a 19 oz CX5 can swing a 21 or more ounce wooden bat with any confidence and I need a wooden bat for a tourney this fall. What should I do?
That is because wood is a different consistency compared to composite or alloy. Since wood is solid, and can't be hollowed out like alloy or composite bats, they will be heavier in weight. When I played in wood bat tournaments when I was younger, my wood bat (along with everyone else's on my team) was a good 4 ounces heavier than my non-wood bat. I did practice with it for a week prior to the tournament to get used to the added weight. Two of the lighter youth wood bats on the market are the Rawlings VELO Ash Wood Bat: Y62LTE and MaxBat Maple Wood Bat: Youth. To get closest to 19 oz., a 26" or 27" model would be recommended.
Is this bat high school certified?
No. This is a Youth model for little league players.
How much does this bat weigh?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth bat has an approximate -5 to -6 length to weight ratio.
I'm looking for a good quality wood bat (maple or bamboo) for my 13 year old. He's a select ball player and training indoors this winter. Uses a 31/26 Marucci Cat 5 for school ball. Would this youth bat be too small, or should I step up to an adult size wood bat?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth is a high quality youth bat, but it may be a little too small for him. I would recommend trying a drop closer to a -4 or a -5. Our Sam Bat Maple Wood Bat: LLCD1 is going to be a little closer to the weight you should be using.
What's the weight of a 32 inch bat?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth 32" will weigh approximately 27 oz.
I'm 5'3" and 130 pounds. Should I get the 31 inch bat?
Yes. Based on your height and weight, the 31" model is recommended.
My son is an 8 year old select player using both big barrel and little barrel bats; would this be a good training bat for him to increase his bat speed?
Due to their heavier composition, wood bats make great training tools for younger players and older players alike. With a -5 to -6 length to weight ratio, the BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY would be a good option for you son.
What is the oz. of the 32" bat?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat has an approximate -5 to -6 drop. Therefore, it would be a 27 oz. to 26 oz. bat.
Is this bat BBCOR certified for Suffolk County, NY?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth is a youth bat and will not be BBCOR certified. The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBB100D Black Adult is BBCOR certified.
What is the weight of the 31" bat?
The BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HBBWY Black/White Youth bat features an approximate -5 to -6 length to weight ratio. Therefore, a 31" model is approximately 25 oz. to 26 oz.
Is this bat approved for high school?
No the BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat (HBBWY) Black/White Youth is not BBCOR approved. It will not be legal for play in High School or College play.
My son plays 50/70 feet 12u summer ball. Wood bat tournament coming up next weekend, would this bat be legal for wood bat only games?
Yes, the BamBooBat Wood Youth Baseball Bat (HBBWY) is approved for 50/70 12U baseball wood bat tournaments.
I am interested in purchasing the HBBWY. Is this bat USA Certified for my 12 yr old son? Do wood/bamboo bats require approved certifications too?
If the bat consists of single wood construction like a one-piece maple, ash, or birch, it would be approved for USA baseball. Unfortunately, the BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Youth Baseball Bat: HWBBY Black/White would not qualify under that category so it would not be approved for USA baseball.
